A Game of Thrones video game is running an event that will take fans back to Robb’s War. The Game of Thrones franchise is enjoying a moment. House of the Dragon Season 3 has earned widespread acclaim and has been hailed as a big improvement over the second season by many fans, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms premiered to rave reviews earlier this year, and more of both of those shows is on the way, so fans have plenty to look forward to in the years ahead.
While fans wait for House of the Dragon Season 3, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Season 2, the Arya Stark sequel series, and the Aegon the Conqueror movie, they can play one of the various Game of Thrones games that are out right now. These include titles like Reigns: Game of Thrones, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, Game of Thrones: Dragonfire, and Game of Thrones: Legends.
Game of Thrones: Legends is Taking Us Back to Robb’s War
Game of Thrones: Legends is a mobile puzzle game from Zynga that is updated regularly with special events and more. Later this month, Game of Thrones: Legends will receive a substantial returning event that will run from Thursday, August 27 to Monday, August 31. The event, Robb’s War, will feature the Robb’s War Summon that includes characters like Robb Stark, Jacaerys Velaryon, Olenna Tyrell, and Daenerys Targaryen (Conqueror of Tarth). Robb’s War, aka the War of the Five Kings, is one of the most significant events in the Game of Thrones story, so it makes sense that Game of Thrones: Legends would look to represent it.

Robb’s War isn’t the only update Game of Thrones: Legends players can check out this month. The Battle of Blackwater Bay, a major battle from Season 2 of the show, has its own event that is live now until August 17. The Battle of Blackwater Bay event features popular characters like Davos Seaworth (Hand of Stannis), Daario Naharis, Tyrion Lannister (The Half Man), and The Night King. The Assault on Rook’s Rest event will then take place from August 20 to August 24, and will feature Oberyn Martell, Sunfyre, Tywin Lannister, and Gregor Clegane.
There are many fans that enjoy the Game of Thrones mobile games, but core gamers may be more interested in GoT titles on consoles and PC. While a new Game of Thrones console game has yet to be announced, we do know of a new GoT PC game releasing in 2027. Game of Thrones: War for Westeros is a real-time strategy game that was originally going to launch in 2026, but has since been delayed to next year.
Like the mobile games, Game of Thrones: War for Westeros will feature popular characters like Jon Snow, The Night King, Daenerys Targaryen, and Jaime Lannister. What’s been shown of it so far has looked very impressive, but time will tell how the final product turns out. If it’s a hit, one has to imagine that there’s a chance we will see more large-scale Game of Thrones video games in the future.
