A new leak from Genshin Impact is showing off the “Custom Loadouts” feature for Artifacts planned to come to the game with the Version 4.4 update. The massively popular RPG from HoYoverse features a variety of ways for players to power up their favorite characters, ranging from Weapons and Artifacts to each character’s Talents. Genshin Impact‘s Artifacts have been a particular focus for many players, with plenty of different options catered to individual playstyles alongside HoYoverse frequently adding new Artifacts into the game. Now, a new feature will make managing Artifacts significantly easier for both new and veteran players.
Genshin Impact‘s recent updates surrounding the release of the Fontaine region have already made a plethora of positive changes to the Artifact system. Version 4.0 would increase the inventory cap for Artifacts up to 1800, allowing players to collect even more Artifacts. The update also saw improvements to the leveling system for Artifacts, raising the number of usable materials when leveling Artifacts and adding Set recommendations for each character. Now, the artifact system will receive an even bigger upgrade with custom loadouts coming in Version 4.4.
Genshin Impact Leak Teases Highly Requested Artifact Change
A new leak from Genshin Impact is teasing a long-awaited change coming to the RPG’s in-game Artifact system in the near future.
A new video shared to the Genshin Impact leaks subreddit by prominent leaker Merlin Impact reveals the first in-game look at Genshin Impact‘s custom Artifact loadouts. The loadout system will allow players to automatically assign Artifacts to their characters, selecting the main stats as well as choosing which of Genshin Impact‘s Artifact sets to use. Players will be able to prioritize specific sub-stats when assigning a loadout, as well as have the option to only assign artifacts that aren’t being used by other characters. Genshin Impact‘s custom Artifact loadouts are expected to arrive with Version 4.4 in late January.
The addition of an Artifact loadout system for Genshin Impact has been one of the biggest requests from many of the game’s most diehard fans. The Artifact system has seen plenty of complaints from players, mostly centered around the gameplay loop of grinding for better Artifacts. Many have lamented the tedious nature of Artifact grinding with each new Artifact’s stats mostly determined randomly. The recent launch of Honkai: Star Rail also featured a “self-modeling Resin” item for crafting custom Relics, a common request from Genshin Impact players.
Genshin Impact‘s new Artifact loadouts will arrive alongside a plethora of content planned for the game in Version 4.4. The January update will introduce two new characters to the game with the addition of the long-awaited Tianyun as a playable version of Cloud Retainer, alongside new four-star unit Gaming. Version 4.4 is also expected to expand the RPG’s map, adding a new explorable area to Genshin Impact‘s Liyue region. Genshin Impact‘s Version 4.4 looks to be jam-packed with a variety of new content to suit Genshin Impact‘s passionate playerbase.
