A reliable source in the Genshin Impact community has revealed that Version 6.5 will feature Linnea, Chasca, Lauma, and Nefer on its Event Banners. Varka has made his roaring debut on the Event Banners with Version 6.4, capturing the hearts of many a fan across the globe, even if he still lacks his most powerful teammate in Nicole, rumored to make her own debut in Version 6.6. However, Genshin Impact players who have invested in Zibai have much to look forward to on the horizon, as Version 6.5 promises to introduce a dedicated 5-Star Geo Support for Lunar-Crystallize.

Enter Linnea – a Winter Fae with a bright personality, the polar opposite of Flins and his subdued, polite charm. Though she has been hinted at since the launch of Nod-Krai in Genshin Impact, Version 6.5 will finally see her added to the playable cast. As a 5-Star Geo Bow, preliminary data on Linnea’s ability kit suggests that she will fulfill a niche for Lunar-Crystallize teams similar to Escoffier for Freeze. Linnea provides healing, off-field Geo, resistance shred, a damage buff to Lunar-Crystallize, and an overall buff to Elemental Mastery, establishing her as the final piece of a Zibai premium team.

As revealed by Seele Leaks via the beta build for Version 6.5, the next Genshin Impact update will have Linnea, Chasca, Lauma, and Nefer as its featured banner characters. While their exact order is unknown, the datamined Spiral Abyss for Version 6.5 implies that Chasca and Nefer will most likely headline the second half, leaving the first half to Linnea and Lauma. For players who skipped Varka in Genshin Impact, Version 6.5 will offer them a chance to stock up on some key Lunar Reaction characters.

With Nod-Krai halfway through its content cycle, Lauma has emerged as one of the region’s best characters, enabling Lunar-Bloom, providing elemental shred for both Dendro and Hydro, as well as having strong off-field Dendro damage. At C1, her ability kit also offers healing, making her an extremely valuable Genshin Impact support to invest in. Lauma is best paired with Nefer in Genshin Impact, as Nefer is a dedicated Lunar-Bloom hypercarry, making the two extremely synergistic.

As for the other two Genshin Impact characters, there are a few considerations to make. Linnea’s value skyrockets if players have Zibai or a Geo hypercarry that works well with Lunar-Crystallize, but she can otherwise be skipped in favor of a more universal Geo Support such as Xilonen. Chasca remains one of the best 5-Stars to vertically invest in due to the strength of her Constellations and Signature Weapon, but her elevation during her Elemental Skill is incompatible with Columbina.

There is currently no information on the 4-Stars that will accompany Linnea, Lauma, Chasca, and Nefer. If the developers update any trial for 4-Star characters in Genshin Impact, it usually implies that they will rerun during the patch, but no such changes were made for Version 6.5. Curiously, Version 6.5 will be the second update in a row that will feature no Archons on its Event Banners, causing a few players to speculate on HoYoverse’s direction for the banner system.

It’s no secret that HoYoverse has prioritized recent characters over older ones of late, relegating the latter to the Chronicled Banners in Genshin Impact. While this approach has solved the worst of the bottleneck, the community is once more starting to feel that the Chronicled Banners are a temporary solution, as the developers aren’t yet willing to add Archons to their character pool. Version 6.5 will launch with Dornman Port, allowing players the opportunity to stock up on their Primogems, with a release date set for April 8, 2026.
