A recent beta change for Version 6.6 may have confirmed Stellar Reactions as the next Genshin Impact gameplay mechanic, likely making a debut in Version 6.7 before getting a full launch in Snezhnaya. Ever since Version 4.0, Genshin Impact has attempted to give each region a gimmick that goes beyond the fundamentals of Elemental Combat. For Fontaine, it was Arkhe; for Natlan, it was Nightsoul; and for Nod-Krai, it was its Lunar Reactions. Whereas Arkhe only played a small part in defining the meta of a region, by Version 6.5, Lunar Reactions have firmly entrenched themselves as the best way to tackle Genshin Impact‘s endgame.

Whereas Nightsoul was unlocked for both 4-Star and 5-Star characters from Natlan, including the Pyro Traveler, Lunar Reactions have proven to be considerably more restrictive. Only 5-Star characters from Nod-Krai can enable Lunar Reactions across a team, with a hypercarry and support pair designed for each element. Dendro has Nefer and Lauma for Lunar-Bloom, Geo has Zibai and Linnea for Lunar-Crystallize, and Electro has Flins and Ineffa for Lunar-Charged. Columbina, as the Archon equivalent of Nod-Krai, sits as the capstone for any Lunar Reactions team in Genshin Impact.

A reliable source in the Genshin Impact community reveals which 5-Stars will make up the Event Banners in the Hexerei-heavy Version 6.6.

Genshin Impact: Stellar Reactions Added and Removed from Version 6.6

In the first build of Version 6.6, dataminers unearthed a direct reference to a new reaction added to Diona’s ablity kit. The reaction, called Stellar-Conduct, implied that HoYoverse was developing an upgraded variant of Superconduct, the reaction of Cryo and Electro reserved for niche Physical teams. At the same time, reliable sources in the Genshin Impact community spoke of Snezhnaya introducing Stellar Reactions: three new variants of Cryo reacting with Electro, Anemo, and Dendro. While the first two were identified as Stellar-Conduct and Stellar-Swirl, the last one’s name remains unknown, but is assumed to be an overhaul of Rimegrass from the Imaginarium Theater in Genshin Impact. Curiously, Jelena noticed that HoYoverse removed the reference from Diona’s ability kit, all but confirming Stellar Reactions as the next Genshin Impact combat feature.

While it remains to be seen when HoYoverse plans to implement Stellar Reactions to Genshin Impact, the seeds for Stellar-Conduct have already been planted. Version 6.6 will introduce two new Artifact Sets, with one focusing on Hexenzirkel support characters and the other boosting Superconduct in particular. Given the rumors that Sandrone is expected to make her playable debut as an Electro character in Genshin Impact, the timing couldn’t be more suspicious.

Unlike previous regions, Version 6.7 is rumored to be the last patch of Nod-Krai, and Sandrone is the final silhouette left obscured on the roadmap for Nod-Krai characters in 2026. Introducing her as a Stellar-Conduct support would parallel Ineffa’s introduction at the end of Natlan in Version 5.8. Moreover, the Superconduct artifact set mentions “receiving blessings from the Qosmos on the journey to Snezhnaya,” which echoes back to how previous combat features were teased.

It is important to remember that Version 6.6 will not feature Stellar-Conduct in any shape or form and that the patch will focus heavily on Hexerei characters in Genshin Impact. Version 6.6 will introduce Nicole, Lohen, and Prune to the cast of characters, as well as wrap up key story threads from both Nod-Krai and Sumeru. Version 6.6 is set to launch on May 20, 2026.
