- Genshin Impact players have recreated the overworld location schedule from Honkai: Star Rail.
- Honkai: Star Rail has served as a template for improving Genshin Impact, with quality-of-life features being implemented in recent patches.
- While Genshin Impact fans have requested permanent character presence, it may be costly to continuously update each character’s location and schedule with every new version. The ability to replay past Flagship Events is also a feature players hope to see implemented.
A Genshin Impact player meticulously recreates the overworld location schedule from Honkai: Star Rail, and applies it to every single playable character from Teyvat. It’s no secret that Genshin Impact‘s community has been envious of a fair few features present in Honkai: Star Rail. For example, artifact farming is considerably easier in HoYoverse’s latest gacha title compared to Genshin Impact, and players getting a free 5-Star character in Honkai: Star Rail only further exacerbated the situation.
However, Honkai: Star Rail has also been a good template for HoYoverse to improve Genshin Impact with, as many quality-of-life features have been implemented in the past couple of patches since the launch of Fontaine. Version 4.4 of Genshin Impact is set to follow this pattern, as it will add a Custom Artifact Loadout option for every character. That being said, there is one feature that Genshin Impact players have been requesting since release, and it pertains to playable characters having a permanent presence in Teyvat outside Story Quests, Flagship Events, and Hangouts.
Genshin Impact Leak Shows New Artifact Feature
A recent leak from Genshin Impact is showing off a highly-anticipated new feature for the game’s Artifacts coming in Version 4.4.
This is a concept already present in Honkai: Star Rail, and Outrageous-While-609 was inspired to take its character schedule and adapt it to Genshin Impact, creating a detailed list of locations where each playable character would be (depending on the time of day). Having Lisa visit The Good Hunter or otherwise tend to the Knights of Favonius library would add to the immersion factor by a significant margin, and it would make the cities and wilderness of Teyvat feel much more alive.
The schedule accounts for specific narrative factors, such as Mona’s Story Quest, Fontaine’s Archon Quest, or even character relationships (such as Xiangling, Chongyun, and Xingqiu being close friends). Though it could be possible for HoYoverse to implement a similar schedule now that a mechanism capable of pausing quests is available, Genshin Impact fans have pointed out that it may be too costly from a voice acting standpoint to continuously update each character’s location and schedule with every new Version.
Another quality-of-life feature that Genshin Impact players have been hoping to get concerns the ability to replay past Flagship Events. Those that heavily focus on story and lore, such as Shadows Amidst Snowstorms, remain completely inaccessible to new Genshin Impact players, despite being a major source of character development for Albedo. While HoYoverse has promised that it would look into implementing a “story replay” feature for Genshin Impact, it remains to be seen if it will also include Flagship Events.
