Genshin Impact has revealed the second half banners for Version 6.4, as Skirk and Escoffier will be accompanied by Charlotte, Candace, and Dahlia. With the Flagship Event for Version 6.4 coming to a close, Genshin Impact is setting the stage for its next set of Event Banners, this time giving two Cryo characters their first rerun. While Nod-Krai has primarily focused on Lunar Reaction and Hexerei teams when releasing new characters, the meta in 2026 still values certain Freeze teams highly.

The key to having a strong Freeze team in Genshin Impact lies in having Escoffier on one’s account. Not only does the celebrity chef of Fontaine come with powerful buffs, but Escoffier also counts as a group healer who does respectable off-field Cryo damage. As such, she is one of the best support characters in Genshin Impact, but solely within her niche of Freeze. This makes Escoffier ideal for hypercarries such as Skirk, Neuvillette, Wriothesley, and even Ayaka.

As it happens, the second half of Version 6.4 will feature both Skirk and Escoffier, allowing Gensin Impact players to obtain a premium core for their Freeze team. According to Genshin Impact‘s official social media account, the second half banners will launch on March 17, 2026, and will have Charlotte, Candace, and Dahlia accompanying Skirk and Escoffier. While it’s preferred for players to have Escoffier on their Skirk team, Charlotte can be an alternative healer due to her synergy with Furina. Conversely, Dahlia can fulfill the slot of a Hydro teammate for Skirk in the absence of Furina.

On the other hand, the Weapon Banner for the second half will feature Azurelight, Skirk’s Signature Weapon, and the Symphonist of Scents, Escoffier’s Signature Weapon. While Azurelight can only be fully utilized by Skirk in Genshin Impact, the Symphonist of Scents is an extremely desirable 5-Star Polearm for any support character that can wield it (such as Iansan, Xiangling, and Rosaria).

The upcoming Event Banners in Genshin Impact represent the best value for players who have little interest in Lunar Reactions or the Hexerei system, or for newcomers who are working towards completing their first team. However, given the limited number of Primogems going around, it may be worthwhile to skip Skirk and Escoffier in favor of future 5-Stars, such as Nicole and Linnea, who is set to release in the first half of Version 6.5.

In addition to Linnea, it should be noted that Version 6.5 will also feature Nefer, Chasca, and Lauma. For players who haven’t yet built their Lunar-Bloom or Lunar-Crystallize team, they will want to save their Primogems in Genshin Impact for Version 6.5. Conversely, those who are investing in Varka or Hexerei character should keep in mind that both Nicole and Lohen are expected to release in Version 6.6. While it is still early for any concrete information on Version 6.7, it is a popular assumption that the patch will feature Sandrone returning to the storyline as a playable character.

Ultimately, one thing has become clear in Nod-Krai. HoYoverse has fully embraced the Chronicled Banner in Genshin Impact, allowing the developers to place older characters on a dedicated, regional banner, to effectively make room for new additions. The Sumeru Chronicled Banner ran in Version 6.0, and the Mondstadt Chronicled Banner came back in Version 6.4. Given the emerging pattern, many Genshin Impact players wonder if a Liyue, Inazuma, or Fontaine Chronicled Banner will make an appearance before the Traveler enters Snezhnaya in Version 7.0. The second half banners for Version 6.4 are expected to last until April 8, 2026, which is when the next content update will also release.
