With two weeks to go before the game releases, Rockstar has released a fresh batch of screenshots for Grand Theft Auto 6. Every Thursday for weeks now, Rockstar has been issuing some kind of update for the highly-anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6. These updates have included information on the soundtrack, the specially-themed controllers, the Collector’s Edition, the official age rating, and more.
The streak of big GTA 6 updates happening on Thursdays started with the Netflix Extended Look. The GTA 6 Extended Look aired on August 27 and gave fans about 30 minutes of gameplay. Considering how long fans had to wait to see GTA 6 in action, the Extended Look was unsurprisingly a big hit. Rockstar capitalizing on the Extended Look’s momentum simply made sense, and now the latest update for GTA 6 is here.
New GTA 6 Jason and Lucia Screenshots
With two weeks left to go until GTA 6 finally releases to the masses, Rockstar has issued a fresh batch of screenshots. The new GTA 6 screenshots largely focused on protagonists Jason and Lucia, showcasing the two together and individually in various situations. Fans can see Lucia being approached by a cop and pointing guns, and they can see Jason doing the same. The two are seen driving vehicles in the new screenshots and working together to rob a bank. Most of the screenshots are action-focused, but one is rather laidback, with Jason and Lucia sitting on the hood of a car watching the sun rise. It goes to show that while GTA 6 will have plenty of action, it will also have quieter moments as well.
The new GTA 6 screenshots also feature some fresh strip club scenes. Strip clubs have long been a part of GTA, and so it’s definitely not a surprise that they are back in GTA 6. The inclusion of content like that has seen GTA 6 in some hot water, with various people on social media vowing that they will not allow their significant other to play the game because of the sexual content.
GTA is no stranger to controversy, though, and even with a small group of people boycotting it, it will have no problem being a massive sales success. GTA 6 pre-orders have reportedly amassed hundreds of millions of dollars already. It’s likely that GTA 6 pre-orders will start selling at an even faster rate as we get closer to the November 19 release date.
After all, GTA 6 pre-loads start on November 10, more than a week before the game’s official launch. GTA 6‘s file size is over 200 GB, so it’s nice that Rockstar is giving fans plenty of time to download the game ahead of its release. With just two weeks to go before GTA 6 is finally out, it will be interesting to see if Rockstar has another update for fans next Thursday, or if this latest batch of screenshots is the final update before launch.
