Hello Kitty Island Adventure City Town DLC Launches April 16, 2026
While Hello Kitty Island Adventure‘s City Town DLC was already playable via Apple Arcade, it’s officially heading to PlayStation 5, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 on April 16. According to Sunblink, this DLC will add over 30 hours of new content to the adorable Sanrio-themed life simulator, including 90+ quests that are spread across the eponymous new region. As its name implies, this new City Town area is a bustling urban metropolis filled with towering skyscrapers and a variety of retail and entertainment options.

A total of seven new shops will be added to Hello Kitty Island Adventure with this City Town DLC. These include a plushie boutique, blooming orchards, and an arcade. City Town will also introduce players to the Imagination Cafe, a dessert shop they can build and customize, and then use to serve customers a range of treats, such as mochi, dango, and boba tea.
This upcoming Hello Kitty Island Adventure paid expansion will put Usahana at the heart of its story. Sometimes stylized as U*SA*HA*NA, this Sanrio character made her debut in 2000. Usahana is a multicolored bunny who loves summer and sweet treats, and she’ll guide players through this new City Town region. Over the course of 35 Friendship Levels, players should grow quite close with her. Usahana will be joined by a wealth of visitors in the DLC, including Pannya-chan, Buppyu-kun, Wanwa-chan, Sora-kun, Nyako-chan, and a “mysterious cameo guest.”
How Hello Kitty Island Adventure’s City Town DLC Compares to Wheatflour Wonderland
Hello Kitty Island Adventure received its first major DLC expansion in September 2025. Titled Wheatflour Wonderland, this paid DLC saw players enter the titular magical world via a potion mishap. In this new Wheatflour Wonderland region, players could craft wands that would let them cast magical spells and transform themselves into critters or items. Players could also discover new cooking and crafting recipes, unlock an assortment of new character furniture and decorations, and engage in three new minigames. This DLC also introduced Cogimyun, the wheat flour fairy.
Generally speaking, it seems as though Hello Kitty Island Adventure‘s City Town DLC could have slightly more content in it than Wheatflour Wonderland, with it introducing a bevy of new stores, the Imagination Cafe, and the Rainbow Tower apartments that players can customize ahead of a visitor’s arrival in town. No official price has been revealed for Hello Kitty Island Adventure‘s City Town DLC just yet, but if it follows in the footsteps of Wheatflour Wonderland, then fans might expect to pay around $15 for the new expansion.
