Here’s How Long it Takes to Hit Level 90 in World of Warcraft: Midnight

It takes about 11 hours to reach level 90 in World of Warcraft: Midnight. While some fans may require more or less time in order to reach the World of Warcraft expansion’s raised level cap, most players will probably ding to 90 in around the same amount of time.

The World of Warcraft: Midnight beta is underway, opening the majority of the new expansion to fans with access, either by being selected after opting in, or owning the Epic Edition. Gamers can play through the entire leveling campaign and experiment with Midnight‘s sweeping class changes all the way up to the new level cap of 90.

Players Can Reach Level 90 in World of Warcraft: Midnight in About 11 Hours

Now that the beta is fully open, players have a rough approximation of how long it takes to beat the core story of Midnight and reach the maximum level. World of Warcraft content creator MrGM timed himself on a new character to see how long it would take to go from level 80 to 90. After 10 hours and 39 minutes, he finally hit the level cap.

Of note, MrGM did not speed level in order to hit 90. His casual run took him through the entirety of the World of Warcraft: Midnight leveling campaign, plus a few side quests at the end to top him off. No doubt hardcore fans who power-level or skip dialogue will be able to accomplish this feat much faster, but it seems like roughly 11 hours will be the average time it takes most players to reach endgame in Midnight.

Subsequent characters will take even less time to level, especially since Midnight is adding the Warband experience boost for max-level characters like in WoW: The War Within. An account can get up to 25% bonus experience on all characters from levels 80 to 90 by raising up to five toons to max level with the Warband Mentor achievements, making it even faster to get alts ready for max-level content.

World of Warcraft fans won’t have to wait long for the race to level 90 to begin. Though World of Warcraft: Midnight doesn’t have a release date yet, evidence from the testing realms suggests it will arrive on or around March 10, 2026. Before then, players can capitalize on World of Warcraft: Legion Remix to quickly raise their characters to level 80 so that they are ready to dive straight into Midnight when it releases.
