A recent leak from Honkai: Star Rail is teasing a brand-new enemy planned to be introduced to the game with Version 2.0, featuring Honkai: Star Rail‘s iconic trash cans. The newest RPG from HoYoverse has already featured a variety of unique and colorful enemies throughout its first two fully explorable worlds. The game’s world bosses have introduced players to imposing creatures like Honkai: Star Rail‘s “Malefic Ape” and the recently added “Starcrusher Swarm King: Skaracabaz.” Now, one of the game’s most popular jokes is set to be immortalized as a new enemy.
Honkai: Star Rail‘s trash cans found throughout the world of Jarilo-VI would quickly become one of the game’s most popular running gags. Seemingly innocuous at first glance, the world’s trash cans each feature extensive dialogue showcasing the Trailblazer’s inner monologue interacting with the receptacles. Many of the trash cans feature comedic scenarios and interactions surrounding the trash cans’ contents, with some even rewarding players with achievements. Now, HoYoverse is taking the trash can jokes a step further with a newly leaked enemy coming in Version 2.0.
Honkai Star Rail’s Trash Cans are the Perfect In-Game Troll
The twinkling trash cans of Belobog in Honkai Star Rail hold a lot of secrets and even some treasures for curious Trailblazers.
A video shared on the Honkai: Star Rail leaks subreddit via leaker Tart shows off a new trash can-themed enemy coming to Honkai: Star Rail with its next update. The new enemy takes on the appearance of a sentient Honkai: Star Rail trash can with muscular arms and legs, kicking the players’ characters for its main attack. The enemy also features a unique mechanic related to its Toughness, starting the battle with no Weakness and gaining Weaknesses based on the first two attacks to hit it. The trash can foe then appears to flee from combat after its Toughness bar is broken.
The new leaks of Honkai: Star Rail‘s trash can enemy are not the first teasers of Penacony’s unusual batch of enemies. Matching the region’s steampunk aesthetics, Penacony is expected to introduce several new foes including both clockwork robots and mechanical dogs for players to challenge. Version 2.0 is also expected to introduce a new boss to go alongside the addition of the RPG’s newest world. Honkai: Star Rail‘s Version 2.0 update is currently expected to be released on February 7.
Alongside the addition of new enemies with Honkai: Star Rail‘s next world, a plethora of new characters are planned to join the game’s roster. Black Swan is set to become the game’s first five-star character from Penacony, teased as a Wind Nihility character. The update will also feature Sparkle as a new five-star Fire Harmony character and Misha joining the game as a four-star Ice Destruction character. Honkai: Star Rail‘s Penacony update looks to have plenty in store for players with its February launch.
