Another massive Pokemon Winds and Waves leak surfaces online, detailing regional forms, cross-gen evolutions, Legendary details, and very sad news for Eevee fans. Pokemon Winds and Waves have been hit by multiple leaks recently, and if true, Gen 10 is poised to be the biggest set of Pokemon games ever made. Despite not adding the largest number of new critters to the series, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are arguably the biggest games in the series so far, but they could be surpassed by Gen 10.
Many fans expected Gen 10 games to be released this year to celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary, but the reveal trailer showed “2027” instead. Not only that, but also Pokemon Winds and Waves will launch late in 2027, according to recent leaks. It seems that the targeted month is September 2027, with a DLC in December, whereas the next Super Mario 3D game will allegedly launch in November of next year. This should be taken with a grain of salt, but The Pokemon Company and Nintendo do have a preference for holiday season releases.
Say Goodbye to a New Eeveelution in Pokemon Winds and Waves
Notorious leak aggregator account Centro Leaks shared a new leak from an active source, kurwashibamaste, who is sharing information about Pokemon Winds and Waves, and they allege that there is no new Eevee evolution in Gen 10. According to Centro Leaks, this has yet to be confirmed by other sources, but this same source was part of the original leak about 300 new Pokemon in Pokemon Winds and Waves. This sounds plausible, though, as one of the documents found in the Teraleak last year stated that The Pokemon Company was considering not making new Eeveelutions because of the otherworldly amount of fan art about them, meaning that new Pokemon could inadvertently look like fan-made ones and become a legal problem.
Say Hello to New Regional Forms and Cross-Gen Evolutions in Pokemon Winds and Waves
However, the leak also has some good news for fans, as there will be regional forms and/or cross-gen evolutions for six older Pokemon. The list is as follows:
- Onix will get a regional form and/or a cross-gen evolution
- Houndour will get a regional form and/or a cross-gen evolution
- Clamperl will get a regional form and/or a cross-gen evolution
- Nincada will get a regional form and/or a cross-gen evolution
- Zweilous will get a cross-gen evolution
- Salandit will get a cross-gen evolution, with it being Poison/Dragon
In this case, the Salandit evolution was already mentioned in another Pokemon Winds and Waves leak with Pokedex details, alleging the game will have 530 Pokemon in the Pokedex, of which roughly 300 are new species, and that Salandit will get a Poison/Dragon evolution. This gives the leak more credibility, though nothing is confirmed at this stage.
The leak also mentions that there will be an underwater point of interest called Neon Abyss, which is similar in concept to the Glimwood Tangle from Pokemon Sword and Shield, but features a coral reef. Gen 10 will allegedly have places that can only be reached by flying, and if true, this could tie back to an old Pokemon Winds and Waves leak showing ride mechanics with a Rotom scooter attached to Pokemon. Finally, the leak also mentions that shiny Pokemon will be visible in the overworld and make the shiny sound like in Pokemon Legends: Z-A and Pokemon Legends: Arceus, and both box Legendaries will appear in each game version.

possible.
An earlier leak about Pokemon Winds and Waves‘ box Legendaries stated that they might have forms available to players throughout the story. This could make them similar to Gen 9’s Koraidon and Miraidon in a way, as they are obtained as early as during the tutorial part of the game.
