Xbox CEO Asha Sharma has acknowledged the recent fan backlash to the company’s showcase logo policy. The executive also signaled that future Xbox shows may revert to the norm of omitting third-party logos from PlayStation and Nintendo.
Future Xbox Shows May ‘Adjust’ Their Third-Party Logo Policies
Sharma addressed the recent criticism in a brief social media post on May 30. “Seeing the feedback on logos,” the CEO wrote on X. “It was a miss, and I own it.” Sharma added that company leadership is now discussing how to “adjust for future Xbox shows” in response. She did not elaborate on the timing of these prospective changes, including whether they could be implemented soon enough to impact the June 2026 Xbox Games Showcase.
Seeing the feedback on logos. It was a miss, and I own it. We are talking about how we adjust for future XBOX shows.
