Jack Black’s performance as Bowser in The Super Mario Bros. Movie was one of the highlights of the film, and he’ll be reprising his role next month in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. And if Black has his way, he’ll be returning for several Mario sequels as well.

“I was chomping [sic] at the bit [to come back],” Black told Fandango during a group interview with the cast. “Are you kidding me? To get back in here and party again with this group, with some new special surprises. And once again, I think it’s a marvel to behold. It’s just an explosion of color and fun and joy. I’m always down to party with Bowser in this universe. Hopefully, we’ll be making several more.”

During the same interview, Black noted that it was difficult to find Bowser’s voice during the production of the first film. But he found the experience to be rewarding.

“I had such a blast on the first one,” recalled Black. “We worked really hard. Look, I’m not going to lie. There was some drilling down to find these characters, and it was actually hard work to the point where I was like almost losing my mind in this … But once we found it, it was off to the races. And I was so happy when I saw Super Mario Brothers. I was like, ‘I’m smiling the whole way.'”

Black returned for the sequel alongside Chris Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, and Keegan-Michael Key as Toad. Captain Marvel star Brie Larson was cast Rosalina, and Universal Pictures recently revealed that Donald Glover will voice Yoshi, Mario’s dinosaur pal. The other newcomers to the voice cast include Benny Safdie as Bowser Jr., Luis Guzmán as Wart, and Issa Rae as the Honey Queen.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie will be released on April 1, and tickets are on sale now. If you want the Yoshi popcorn bucket, it should be available for sale close to the film’s release date.
