Leaks suggest that new details regarding EA Sports College Football 24 will be released on Monday, January 8, the day of the College Football Playoff’s national championship. This would be in keeping with one of EA Sports College Football‘s traditions before it was canceled, as it used to reveal the next year’s game on the same day of the BCS National Championship.
Ever since EA confirmed it was bringing back the College Football series, fans have eagerly awaited its return. However, some fans were hesitant to become optimistic after this announcement, worrying that legal troubles would again become too big of a hurdle. This partially came true when two companies that represent college athletes got involved in a legal dispute over matters surrounding College Football 24, but thankfully, EA was able to move on from these legal issues and continue developing the next title. It’s now been nearly three years since EA first announced the series’ return, and fans might finally be getting a look into the highly anticipated game very soon.
EA Sports’ College Football Game Mode Wish List
EA Sports College Football is set to return in 2024, and there are a few modes that definitely need to be in the game when it launches.
247Sports reported that EA is expected to reveal new information regarding College Football 24 on January 8. The site’s sources claim that this will include an official update on the game’s development, and possibly new images as well. This would be the first time that fans get a look at College Football 24 since 2022, when EA shared a couple of screenshots with ESPN. It’s not known if a release date will be included with this news drop, but College Football 24 is expected to launch sometime this Summer. Before the series was canceled, EA’s NCAA Football games were usually released in July, so this seems to be a likely window. However, this is just speculation.
When EA announced the return of College Football in 2021, it revealed that the NCAA title had been removed from College Football 24, presumably in an effort to avoid further legal issues. Thankfully, as the game’s development is nearing completion, it seems that it has managed to avoid legal problems, giving college football fans good reason to be excited for this Summer.
In August 2023, EA revealed that it had secured licensing deals with most of the major colleges for College Football 24. It’s not yet known if EA was able to complete deals with the rest of the major schools. Although it’s possible that a couple universities might be missing from College Football 24, its features will hopefully cancel out that potential disappointment.
Similar to previous games in the series, College Football 24 will reportedly feature a Dynasty mode. This format allows users to control a college football program’s recruiting, player development, and on-the-field play, as they attempt to lead the team to national prominence.
