A new John Wick game coming from Saber Interactive has just been announced to be in development for PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. This new John Wick game was unveiled during the recent Sony State of Play, which was packed with major reveals that ranged from a new Castlevania game to a shadow-drop of a new God of War.
Though its reveal during the recent Sony State of Play may have come as a complete surprise to many, film production company Lionsgate did show its hand at the end of last year. During a late 2025 earnings call, Lionsgate head Adam Fogelson confirmed that the company was pursuing “AAA game opportunities around John Wick and Saw.” While a AAA video game adaptation of Saw is yet to be seen, it looks like this is the John Wick project Fogelson was talking about.
The Ballerina Deleted Scene That Fills In The John Wick Timeline Plot Hole
Ballerina seemingly created a plot hole in the John Wick cinematic timeline, but a new deleted scene helps fill in the gaps fans were questioning.
Official John Wick Game Announced During Sony State of Play
The announcement of a brand new John Wick game came alongside a two-minute trailer. The vast majority of the trailer’s runtime is dedicated to capturing the spirit of the John Wick movies via pre-rendered cutscenes, cutting between shots of Wick calmly getting a suit fitting and shots of intense hand-to-hand combat and now-classic John Wick gun-fu. Keanu Reeves’ face is then revealed in full, and a short sequence of in-engine footage plays, showcasing some brutal and bloody finishers.
While the trailer for this “Untitled John Wick Game” doesn’t give much away, Saber Interactive’s official blog post announcement sheds a bit more light on what players can expect. The blog post states that the game is being created in collaboration with Saber Interactive, Lionsgate, and the director of all four mainline John Wick movies, Chad Stahelski, and that it’ll feature an original script set in the John Wick timeline as opposed to being a direct adaptation of the movies. Keanu Reeves is officially lending his “look, voice, and more” to the game, and the announcement mentions the appearance of “familiar characters fans already know and love,” as well as new characters made specifically for this new adventure. The blog post also claims that Saber Interactive’s design will be faithful to the source material, with it including “a distinct gun fu combat system, jaw-dropping camerawork, immersive driving experiences, and a variety of memorable environments.”
While Saber Interactive has been developing and publishing video games since the early 2000s, it’s gained increased notoriety in recent years due to its many licensed projects both in development and already released. One of Saber Interactive’s most popular games of the last few years was 2024’s Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, which Saber has already confirmed is getting a sequel. A Hellraiser game, Jurassic Park Survival, Turok: Origins, and the long-awaited Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake are also all currently in development at Saber.

This will be the first official AAA John Wick video game adaptation, but it’s technically the third game the renowned assassin has lent his name and likeness to. The first John Wick video game came in the form of 2017’s John Wick Chronicles, a poorly received VR game made by Payday developer Starbreeze. Two years later, Bithell Games released John Wick Hex, a somewhat better received adaptation that tried to capture the protagonist’s improvisational skills through turn-based strategy gameplay. While these games have their fans, Saber Interactive’s upcoming John Wick game is likely to be much more in line with what many fans might want from an interactive adaptation of such a fast-paced action franchise.
