The 40872 Halloween Pumpkin Lantern LEGO set launched earlier this month, just in time for people to start transforming their homes with Halloween-themed decorations. Despite being so new, it hasn’t taken long for LEGO fans to see what else is possible with the set in potential alternate builds. In fact, the same builder even transformed the Pumpkin Lantern set into Pokemon‘s Charmander just a few weeks ago, so it has a lot of versatility.
Custom LEGO Millennium Falcon Build With Halloween Pumpkin Lantern Set
Redditor Minute_Food_2881 shared their custom LEGO Millennium Falcon build, which was created using the 40872 Halloween Pumpkin Lantern. Despite its bright orange color, it’s still clearly the iconic Star Wars ship, using the ghost as the cockpit in a creative twist. The alternate build uses no additional LEGO pieces not included with the original set, although the builder noted that spare pieces in the box were used.
The LEGO builder has also uploaded instructions for creating this alternate build to Rebrickable. They do cost $3, but it’s a small price for such a cool build. On the page, the creator states that the Pumpkin Millennium Falcon build is both “swooshable and sturdy,” and also includes a stand. Instructions come via a PDF for those who want to build it themselves.
This particular Redditor is renowned for their incredible LEGO alternate builds, but the Millennium Falcon seems to be their specialty. On the Rebrickable page for this Pumpkin Lantern build, they revealed that this is their 19th funny take on the famous hunk of junk. Previous efforts include a FIFA World Cup 2026 set, a DeLorean set, a Lightning McQueen set, and more, all becoming the Millennium Falcon. With each one, it’s always interesting to see how they’ve interpreted the ship and been creative to adapt to such an iconic design.
It may not be the 75192 Millennium Falcon LEGO set, but it definitely has its own charm. The long-standing collaboration between LEGO and Star Wars is set to hit new heights next year, with the latter celebrating its 50th anniversary.
