LEGO’s Largest Book Nook Set Ever Spotted in the Wild

Information about an unannounced LEGO Book Nook set has surfaced online alongside several high-resolution images. With a reported 1,690 pieces, the leaked model appears destined to debut as LEGO’s largest Book Nook release to date.

LEGO’s current Book Nook range is still relatively young, having debuted in June 2025 with three models designed to slot between books on a shelf. That initial trio included 76450 Book Nook: Hogwarts Express, as well as the 10351 Sherlock Holmes: Book Nook and 10367 The Lord of the Rings: Balrog Book Nook. A fourth set, 76478 Book Nook: Dumbledore’s Office, followed a year later, officially launching on June 1, 2026.

Three months later, another Book Nook design now appears to be on the horizon, according to a premature product listing published by New Zealand retailer Toyworld in late August 2026. The page was taken offline within hours of going live on August 31, but not before it was spotted by LEGO sleuths. The listing identified a LEGO Icons set designated with product number 11379 and formally called “Bookstore: Book Nook,” a moniker that did not match the included product photos, which included several images of a box saying “Bookshop Book Nook.” The leaked packaging also establishes an 18+ age rating, a 1,690-piece count, and two included minifigures, while Toyworld listed the set for NZ$249.99 (~$150) before pulling the page.

Other images included in the now-pulled listing provide a relatively detailed look at 11379 Bookshop’s design. The set opens into a two-story bookstore with extensive shelving, upper-level balconies, several reading areas, a spiral staircase, a micro café counter, plants, lamps, and numerous tiny books. One image specifically advertises “subtle references to renowned works of literature,” albeit without elaborating with a list of individual Easter eggs. The leaked set also includes author and reader minifigures, giving it a more general bookstore theme than the Harry Potter Book Nook set, 76478 Dumbledore’s Office, released earlier in mid-2026.

LEGO’s 2025 Balrog Set Seems to Occupy a Slightly Larger Surface when Wide Open

The 1,690-piece total puts the leaked model at the top of the current Book Nook size range. Its closest competitor is 10351 Sherlock Holmes: Book Nook with 1,359 pieces, 24% fewer than 11379 Bookshop. Having the highest piece count does not necessarily make it the physically largest Book Nook, however. Toyworld’s cached listing described 11379 as approximately 20 cm tall (7.87″) and 40 cm (15.75″) wide when opened, while the 1,201-piece Balrog Book Nook is roughly 22 x 44 cm (8.66 x 17.32″) in comparable conditions.

The leaked Bookshop would represent a notable change in subject matter for this LEGO Icons subtheme. From a foldable Hogwarts Express to a tiny slice of Sherlock Holmes’s world, each of LEGO’s first four Book Nook sets recreated a recognizable fictional setting or property. By comparison, 11379 appears to use an original bookstore setting, with “Brickville Books” signage visible on the model and its shelving packed with generic literary references rather than volumes belonging to a single licensed universe. With retailers apparently already receiving marketing materials, as evidenced by Toyworld’s premature listing, 11379 Bookshop: Book Nook could be officially announced within days or weeks.
