The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake on Nintendo Switch 2 is coming with a variety of pre-order bonuses, but it’s unlikely that fans will be able to collect them all. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is the highly-anticipated second remake of the Nintendo 64 classic, following the 3DS version of the game that released well over a decade ago.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the Nintendo Switch 2 boasts significantly improved graphics, offering a stunning recreation of the N64 game’s iconic world. Characters, textures, animations, and more have been upgraded, and new gameplay mechanics are also being added to the mix for good measure, like the new jump button. The Ocarina of Time remake recently dropped an extended look at its gameplay, drumming up even more excitement for the game and triggering plenty to go out and pre-order it for themselves.
Zelda: Ocarina of Time Switch 2 Pre-Order Bonuses
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake pre-order bonuses can vary not only by retailer, but by region. For example, those in Canada that pre-order the Ocarina of Time remake from EB Games can get an incredible holographic slip cover that mimics the Nintendo 64 version’s cover art. An arguably even cooler pre-order bonus is exclusive to those in the UK that pre-order the game directly from Nintendo. Those Zelda fans can get recreations of the Spiritual Stones from Ocarina of Time that look to be fairly high quality based on images released so far.
There don’t appear to be any major pre-order bonuses for Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake in the US. Or at least, they haven’t been revealed yet. However, it’s not all doom and gloom for Zelda: Ocarina of Time fans in the states. All early copies of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake come with a special foil cover, so there is still some incentive to secure an early copy.
Physical copies of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on Switch 2 are about all fans can hope to pre-order at this point. Most of the other items revealed during the recent Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct have already sold out, including the specially-themed Zelda Switch 2 console and Pro Controller. Language used by Nintendo suggests that there will be more opportunities to pre-order these items in the future, or that they may eventually be restocked at some point down the line, so Zelda fans should keep an eye out.
In the meantime, Zelda fans can look forward to the Ocarina of Time remake releasing for the Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5. The Zelda Switch 2 console and many other accessories will be releasing a little earlier, on October 29. Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake amiibo based on Young Link and Young Zelda are also on the way, but they too have sold out and don’t even have a release date yet beyond vague 2027 release windows. Fans of The Legend of Zelda franchise can expect more information on that front to come at some point next year.
