A Minecraft fan has used Blender to create an incredible animation of a Wither destroying a village. Villages have been a staple of Minecraft since it launched, but this animation adds a dark twist to the point of interest by having a boss attack it.
The Wither is a Minecraft boss mob added to the game with update 1.4.2. This boss can be summoned by placing Soul Sand in the same shape as a Minecraft Iron Golem. Players will need four Soul Sand pieces to make this shape, and three Withered Skeleton skulls to place on top to activate it, akin to the Jack-o-Lantern requirement for the Golem. This boss cannot be summoned in the Peaceful mode, and it provides more of a challenge in the Hard difficulty compared to the others. This animator decided to show just how powerful The Wither can be from the perspective of a calm village.
Intriguing Minecraft Image Shows What Over 6 Million Combined Skins Looks Like
An image circulating around the Minecraft community online shows what an avatar merging over 6 million player skins would look like.
Reddit user Migrod_PNG recently shared a Minecraft Blender animation focusing on a peaceful village. The clip begins with Minecraft Steve entering a village with a fishing rod equipped, and an Iron Golem is patrolling the main road. A tamed wolf approaches Steve, and one villager reacts to it before proceeding down a path. Meanwhile, two others chat in the distance. The colorful video then transitions to a dark scene in which the village is on fire and arrows and bones are scattered on the ground. As Steve turns to face The Wither, which seemingly destroyed the village, the boss turns around to reveal three sets of glowing eyes and mouths.
The clip concludes with Steve dropping an Iron Sword that had replaced his fishing rod. The character then falls to his knees as a projectile from The Wither is about to hit him. The bones on the ground seemingly indicate that the villagers were killed by the attacking Wither, while the Iron Golem is nowhere to be seen. Although the Iron Sword and nearby Shield would’ve aided Steve in this boss fight, the animation hints at the hopelessness of fighting it without better equipment. While the animation concludes before Steve is defeated, his final stance indicates that he is surrendering to the Minecraft boss.
Though it’s uncommon for a Wither to wreak havoc on a village, summoning the boss too close to one can have this effect. Given that Minecraft Villagers provide helpful items in trade, most players may choose to summon a Wither in a secluded place.
