The almost boundless creativity of Minecraft players routinely pop up across social media, showcasing what’s possible in Mojang’s long-standing creativity sandbox, and one player’s recently crafted solarpunk city might be one of the best builds yet. Minecraft may be almost 20 years old at this point, but players are still finding ways to create beautiful new cities across its procedurally generated sandboxes.

Mojang’s Minecraft continues to truck along with new updates and spin-off games in 2026, now an institution amongst gamers of all ages and backgrounds. This year has seen the release of Minecraft‘s Tiny Takeover update, which gives a huge number of baby mobs, such as wolves, cows, and villagers, an adorable new reskin. Tiny Takeover also included a Golden Dandelion consumable that keeps these new mob skins as babies forever, so fans can finally have those cute pet families that they have been asking for forever. Additionally, March’s Minecraft LIVE event brought the announcement of the Chaos Cubed game drop, featuring the brand-new sulfur caves biomes, sulfur blocks, and the sulfur cube mob. Chaos Cubed still doesn’t have a release date, but it should be launching later this year. Needless to say, it might be a good time to jump back into Minecraft to create new builds and see what the community has been up to.
