A new Oris 8.6 build for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 has been discovered and could be one of the most broken attachment combinations yet. Although Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 has only been available since October 23, players are already experimenting with weapon attachments to gain an advantage in the game’s developing multiplayer meta.
Modern Warfare 4 launched with 33 weapons spread across 9 categories, giving players tons of options as they experiment with the game’s newly revamped Gunsmith system. While assault rifles and SMGs have rapidly emerged as popular choices, marksman rifles offer an alternative for accurate players who prioritize precision and stopping power. The Oris 8.6 is particularly appealing thanks to its high damage output, although its slower firing speed does make missed shots feel especially punishing. With Infinity Ward already adjusting Modern Warfare 4‘s weapons and attachments, players continue to discover new loadouts that could shake up the early meta.
MW4’s Oris 8.6 Has an Incredibly Powerful New Build
A new video shared by Facebook user Rasclart0 Xash showcases a particularly powerful Oris 8.6 configuration for MW4 that uses all five attachment slots to improve the weapon’s versatility. The build consists of the EXP Crosstac 22″ Long Barrel, VX86 Heavy Bolt, No Stock, the OPS-45 XP Grip Skeleton Grip, and a 20 Round Mag. Rather than focusing exclusively on long-range precision, the setup aims to make the marksman rifle more effective in fast-paced multiplayer encounters, with the video showing just how deadly the build can be in practice. The extended barrel improves the weapon’s range, while the stock and grip configuration emphasizes mobility and handling. Meanwhile, the larger magazine doubles the rifle’s standard ammunition capacity, giving players more opportunities to secure consecutive eliminations without reloading.
What makes this Oris 8.6 build especially powerful is its attempt to combine the weapon’s considerable stopping power with the responsiveness of a more conventional multiplayer rifle, leading to many one-shot kills and a very run-and-gun play style. By prioritizing handling and mobility, this configuration makes the Oris 8.6 better suited to aggressive engagements without sacrificing its greatest strength. However, the setup does come with trade-offs, including reduced accuracy and fire rate, so it may be better suited for smaller maps and less chaotic game modes, as shown in the video.

The Oris 8.6 also faces competition from several other powerful Modern Warfare 4 weapons, including the Han 86, Oden, and M4 assault rifles. Infinity Ward’s October 28 balancing update adjusted numerous weapons, reducing certain damage multipliers on the Han 86 and Oden while improving the effective range of the M4 and Kastov 762. Several SMGs also received adjustments designed to make their damage more consistent. These changes have already changed the early meta, even as players keep finding effective attachment combinations and developers respond to weapons performing outside their intended roles.
With Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 approaching, additional weapon adjustments could further change which loadouts dominate multiplayer. Infinity Ward has emphasized its commitment to balancing the game’s arsenal so that players can remain competitive with a variety of weapons rather than relying on a handful of standout choices. There is currently no indication that the Oris 8.6 is specifically being targeted for a nerf, but its effectiveness could change as future updates arrive. For now, this powerful build offers Modern Warfare 4 players a notable alternative to the assault rifles and SMGs currently competing for top spots in the multiplayer meta.
