There isn’t a release date for the Evangelion collab, only the release window for the first half of 2024. Hotta Studio hasn’t revealed the exact details of what you need to do to claim the characters or how far you need to be in the story to reach the Evangelion plotline. In the meantime, the developers ask players to celebrate Tower of Fantasy’s 1.5 anniversary with a new story chapter and programming-savvy Simulacrum named Plotti. Many activities, rewards, and exclusive items will arrive with the 3.6 update on January 30.
Hotta Studio’s anime-style MMORPG first gained traction thanks to Genshin Impact comparisons. While it may have the similar real-time action and progression systems, the MMO-leaning nature of the game separates it from HoYoverse’s award-winning action RPG.
Evangelion is ToF’s first collab with another series. Series collabs are common in mobile RPGs, so it’s possible there will be more in the future if this one goes right.
Tower of Fantasy is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android.
