It appears Netflix Portugal accidentally updated its landing page for the Extended Look at Grand Theft Auto 6 that takes place on August 27, with fans quickly noticing a brand-new detail about its release structure. Of course, Netflix was quick and this has already been taken down—if it did exist.
It’s worth noting two important facts here. First, it’s definitely possible for the below screenshot of the aforementioned change to be a bug, if not edited or altered, as plenty of Grand Theft Auto 6 fans are certainly imaginative, to say the least. Secondly, even as we take it with a grain of salt, it lines up with Take-Two CEO’s Strauss Zelnick’s statement on the Netflix x GTA 6 partnership, namely that they partnered with Netflix for a reason and that would be transparent once the Extended Look is released.
Netflix Portugal Lists 3 Episodes Under GTA 6: Extended Look
Although it has already been removed, the Netflix Portugal page temporarily listed three episodes under the GTA 6: Extended Look page. What makes this slightly more suspect is how difficult it is to see the episode listings, but clicking on the image, zooming in, and squinting hard reveals that the first episode of GTA 6: Extended Look is 23 minutes and 37 seconds, the second episode is 24 minutes and 41 seconds, and 18 minutes and 29 sceonds. If true, this means that GTA 6: An Extended Look is a recurring release feature, a lot like a Netflix mini-series.

If so, that could certainly explain what Zelnick meant about GTA 6: An Extended Look. It’s currently uncertain what the rollout would look like, but it would make sense for this to happen once a month, with the first episode releasing on August 27, the second episode releasing in September, the last episode releasing in October, and then finally GTA 6 releasing in November. It could also be a short weekly thing releasing over three weeks, or it could be a three-episode drop at once—the only ones who know are Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, and probably very few folks at Netflix.
It’ll be interesting to see if this developers and if this proves true, since GTA 6: Extended Look could be a one-off too. Other than pre-orders releasing, there has been some discontent in the Grand Theft Auto community among fans, as they were told that GTA 6 marketing would begin this summer. And so far, the only thing to release so far is the price, pre-orders, and a handful of game images and screenshots. One episode or three, what matters is what Rockstar is choosing to show and how it supplements the Netflix release (as it would be unfortunate if Netflix was the only marketing).
The biggest question on plenty of minds is Grand Theft Auto 6‘s gameplay. Rockstar has largely focused on setting, world, characters, and story, as it rightfully should have so far, but the proof is in the pudding. And in this case, the pudding is gameplay. Zelnick recently said that he’s confident that Rockstar has innovated, but it remains to be seen what that means for this open-world crime action game.
