NTE: Neverness to Everness is showing off the gameplay for new character Lacrimosa, teasing a variety of flashy and colorful attacks. Lacrimosa is currently scheduled to debut as the first new playable character in NTE‘s Version 1.1 update.

The open-world action RPG has already been a smash hit following its launch on April 29, with plenty for fans to do throughout Hethereau. NTE features a wide variety of side activities for players to enjoy within its expansive city, including racing through the city streets, managing a cafe, and running heists of the Pink Paws Bank. The game also offers a sizable roster of characters for players to acquire within its launch update, boasting sixteen different roster members available through NTE‘s gacha system and by progressing through the story. Now, NTE is getting players ready for its next update with a brand-new character.

NTE Teases Version 1.1 Character Lacrimosa

NTE officially revealed the gameplay for the new S-Class character Lacrimosa on May 29 with a flashy reveal trailer. The video begins with Lacrimosa sleeping underneath a tree in Hethereau’s Miguel District, woken up by a group of approaching enemies. The trailer shows off Lacrimosa’s attacks using a frying pan, stringing together quick attacks to knock enemies off their feet. Lacrimosa’s Ultimate is also shown during the teaser, using her magic to summon a barrage of vehicles that crash down on enemies. Lacrimosa will be added to NTE as an S-Class Chaos-type character in the Version 1.1 update, scheduled to launch on June 3.

Lacrimosa’s addition to NTE comes after the character already featured prominently in the game’s launch update. Lacrimosa was the star of the Tomato Jelly Rampage: Live Report side quest, with players helping Mint investigate an Anomaly causing trouble while posing as Lacrimosa. The quest also gave players an early chance to try out Lacrimosa, with the Bureau of Anomaly Control agent briefly playable during some combat segments of her story quest. The coffin in which Lacrimosa sleeps can also be found in different locations while exploring Hethereau.

Lacrimosa is not the only playable character set to join the roster during NTE‘s next update. Hotta Studio revealed Chaos as the first playable member of the Bureau of Anomaly Control’s ETD-6 team, joining the game as an S-Class Lakshana-type character. Chaos is expected to debut as a Damage character for NTE teams, based on his role as the heavy hitter for ETD-6. Chaos will join the roster during the Version 1.1 update’s second half, currently expected to roll out on June 24.

NTE‘s first post-launch update will bring several major changes to the game alongside its two featured characters. NTE is already adding its first new location to explore during Version 1.1, debuting Sunward Island as a tropical new destination for players. The RPG will also introduce some exciting City Tycoon activities for players to try out, including Fight Club, featuring PvP-focused combat, and Underground Circuit, which puts a dangerous spin on the game’s street races. NTE is primed to keep its launch momentum going with a wealth of new content coming in Version 1.1.
