For more than a decade, Bloodborne has remained one of FromSoftware’s most beloved games despite having only a single release, and fans will get a unique new release in April 2027. The PlayStation 4 exclusive originally launched in 2015 and put a more aggressive spin on the developer’s Soulsborne formula, sending players into a grotesque Lovecraftian world filled with nightmarish creatures, brutal combat, and plenty of mysteries. Bloodborne earned widespread critical acclaim and is still frequently regarded as one of FromSoftware’s best games.
Little has changed since then. Bloodborne has never received a native release on another platform, although the PS4 version can be played on PlayStation 5 through backward compatibility. Fans have repeatedly called for a PC port or some kind of modern re-release, while FromSoftware continues to work on other projects, including The Duskbloods, its multiplayer-focused Switch 2 exclusive. The Duskbloods may offer some familiar FromSoftware combat for players looking for something new, but it isn’t the Bloodborne follow-up many fans have been waiting for.
New Bloodborne Release Slated for April 2027
While Bloodborne fans continue to wait for something substantial on the game itself, the franchise is at least getting another piece of official merchandise. Super Groupies has revealed a new umbrella related to Bloodborne‘s Childhood’s Beginning ending, giving fans a surprisingly elaborate way to bring one of the game’s most mysterious endings into the real world.

The Super Groupies Bloodborne umbrella is priced at $125.99, and pre-orders are currently available. Delivery is expected in mid-April 2027, meaning fans will have to wait a few months before the rather unusual piece of Bloodborne merchandise arrives. Considering the game’s long absence from modern platforms, however, official products like this remain one of the few ways the franchise continues to receive new attention.
The foldable eight-rib umbrella features a jet-black color scheme designed around Bloodborne‘s distinctive aesthetic. The outer canopy is decorated with Caryll Runes, while the inside features imagery and references tied to the Childhood’s Beginning ending. The design also includes an infant Great One from Bloodborne on the tie wrap, with the umbrella’s cover carrying the Bloodborne logo.
There is still no new Bloodborne game to accompany the merchandise, with a sequel, PC port, PS5 upgrade, remaster, or remake yet to be announced. For now, Bloodborne fans will have to make do with merchandise, annual community events like Return to Yharnam, and whatever FromSoftware does next. The rumors of a Soulslike pirate game from FromSoftware seem unsubstantiated at this time, but fingers crossed there. Or The Duskbloods may scratch part of that familiar itch, but the demand for a proper return to Yharnam clearly isn’t going away.
