Official PlayStation partner Razer has revealed one of its most premium PS5 controllers to date, the Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition, which will launch in a limited run of just 1,337 units worldwide. Unlike most standard PS5 controllers, the new Raiju V3 Pro is made from magnesium alloy, a lightweight metal mixture.

Another distinguishing feature of the new controller is its open-air polygonal design, a first for the product line. This design not only gives the controller a distinctive look but also helps reduce its overall weight. According to Razer, the Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition weighs about 9.2 ounces, roughly the same as the standard version despite the difference in materials.

The Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition will retail for $349.99. For those outside the US, the new PS5 controller will cost £349.99 GBP or €368.99 EUR. It will launch on November 10, “with only 1,337 individually serialized units available on a first-come, first-served basis.” The bundle includes a vegan leather box, a HyperSpeed dongle, swappable thumbsticks, back button covers, an anodized aluminum torque driver, and a USB Type-A to USB Type-C cable.

For comparison, the standard Raiju V3 Pro starts at $219.99 USD, making it approximately 40% cheaper than the Signature Edition.

Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition Features

  • Magnesium alloy exoskeleton (NEW)
  • Laser-etched glass touchpad (NEW)
  • Anti-drift, adjustable TMR thumbsticks
  • Six mappable buttons
  • 2,000 Hz polling rate
  • Micro-textured TPU grip
  • Removable mouse-click buttons

Although the Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition is designed for the PS5, it is also compatible with Windows 11 PCs. Thanks to the HyperSpeed dongle, it supports a polling rate of up to 2,000 Hz, allowing it to send data to a PC at high speeds and reduce input latency. Those interested in customizable PS5 controllers should also note that the Razer Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition comes with six mappable buttons and two adjustable thumbsticks with short and tall concave options. The controller also supports Razer’s proprietary apps for further customization and the creation of up to four keybinding profiles.

The standard Razer Raiju V3 offered 36 hours of battery life.

One important detail that remains unconfirmed at the time of writing is the Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition’s expected battery life. On average, the PS5 DualSense controller lasts between 6 and 12 hours on a single charge. However, the standard Razer Raiju V3 offers 36 hours of battery life. If the upcoming model offers similar performance, fans can expect it to outlast standard PlayStation controllers.

Explaining what makes the new PS5 controller unique, Razer said, “Signature Edition status is reserved for concepts that push boundaries—where deeper research, advanced materials/finishes, and tighter tolerances deliver a result that cannot be achieved through conventional means.” Of course, the controller’s steep price and limited production run make it more of a collector’s item, similar to some other recently released limited-edition PS5 DualSense controllers. Some fans also worry that the new open-air polygonal design could allow dust and debris to collect beneath the exoskeleton, a possible issue Razer has not addressed at the time of writing.
