An adorable DualSense Wireless Controller Case and a plushie based on Astro Bot have been revealed, and they are adorable. While Astro Bot has been out for over a year now, this new accessory bundle could be tempting for fans of one of the PS5’s best exclusives.

It might be hard to believe, but the PlayStation 5 is already over five years old. Since the launch of the console, Sony has released various first-party exclusives. Perhaps the most notable among them has been Astro Bot. Winner of Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2024, Team Asobi’s 3D platformer has earned overwhelming praise from gamers and critics alike. Building on the foundation of Astro’s Playroom, the developers crafted a vibrant and varied world that has resonated with many fans. One reason for the success of Astro Bot was its utilization of the DualSense controller’s features, such as haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.

Game of the Year 2024 Winner Could Be Getting a LEGO Set in the Near Future

LEGO fans may get to see the first set from a past Game of the Year winner in the near future, but only if they contribute their support.

Astro Bot-Themed Case and Red Panda Plush Available for Pre-Order

Given the popularity of the Astro Bot, Sony has, unsurprisingly, already released an Astro Bot Limited Edition DualSense Controller. However, gamers now have the opportunity to grab more themed accessories based on the game. Specifically, the Astro Bot DualSense Wireless Controller Case and Red Panda Plushie have been revealed. This bundle is $56.99 and is available exclusively through the PlayStation Direct website. While this case and plushie will be released on Thursday, March 26, those interested can already pre-order.

The case, which is manufactured by PowerA, features an adorable Astro Bot-themed design and lets users charge their controller with it inside. There is also an accessory pocket to store the charging cable, thanks to the cable pass-through. This protective case comes bundled with the aforementioned Red Panda Plushie, which is made by Youtooz. As the name suggests, it is based on the cute animal bots seen in the game, albeit in a much more squishy form. According to the website, this 9-inch-tall Red Panda Plushie “is packed to the seams with 100% PP cotton and is made of the softest minky material.” It features a predominantly orange and brown body, with a white muzzle and what is described as “delighted blue eyes.”

It is unclear how long this Astro Bot release will be available, so interested fans might want to pre-order sooner rather than later. However, it should be noted that the case is only compatible with DualSense Wireless Controllers. Unfortunately, this means that those who have the more expensive DualSense Edge will not be able to use the Astro Bot-themed case.

Astro Bot’s Free DLC Levels Make the Game Even Better

It is nice to see Astro Bot continue to get recognition over a year after its original release. Besides accessories such as this new bundle and the previously released Astro Bot Limited Edition DualSense Controller, Team Asobi has released additional in-game content for the game. Notably, the game received multiple free DLC levels that utilized the abilities in Astro Bot, and more VIP bots from franchises like Final Fantasy and Helldivers 2 were added to the game. There was even a Christmas-level introduced at the end of 2024.

It remains to be seen what the future has in store for Astro Bot. Fortunately, the game has been considered a success, selling millions of copies, meaning a new game in the series could be coming in the future. Of course, there is also the possibility that more DLC could come to 2024’s Astro Bot. For now, fans will have to be content trying to set new records in the speedrun levels in the interim.
