Amazon has announced Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles, a co-op detective party game for between one and four players. Scheduled for launch on July 31, the game will tie in directly into the second season of Prime Video’s animated Batman series.
Batman: Caped Crusader premiered in August 2024, offering a noir-inspired interpretation of Bruce Wayne’s early vigilante campaign in Gotham City. All 10 episodes of the Prime Video show’s second season are due to premiere on July 31, around midnight local time.
Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles Features 11 Playable Episodes
Coming Exclusively to Amazon Luna
During the opening day of the 2026 San Diego Comic Con, Warner Bros. revealed an Amazon Luna-exclusive video game tie-in based on the second season of the upcoming show. Called Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles, the title will feature 11 playable episodes built around co-op investigations and detective-themed mini-games. Each will tie into some aspect of Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2, although early press materials reviewed by GameRant suggest they will not necessarily serve as interactive adaptations of individual TV episodes. Instead, Chronicles appears designed to offer an expanded look at Prime Video’s Batman series.
Chronicles will support one to four players, who will join Batman’s inner circle and a Gotham City Police Department task force working alongside Detective Renee Montoya. Cases will involve decoding evidence, following leads, interrogating suspects, and unraveling crimes linked to a sizable gallery of villains, including Scarecrow, Babyface, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, Dollmaker, Lynx, Music Meister, and the Joker. Hamish Linklater and Michelle C. Bonilla will reprise their respective roles as Batman and Montoya from the animated series. Their return strengthens the connection between the two productions, though Chronicles will tell its own story across 11 episodes rather than turn each of the show’s 10 new installments into a playable adaptation.
Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles Platforms and Supported Countries
Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles will be included with Amazon Prime at no additional cost through Luna Standard’s GameNight library rather than sold separately. The game will be available through the Luna app in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, France, Austria, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Portugal, Belgium, and Luxembourg. Luna supports compatible Fire TV devices, Fire tablets, Samsung and LG smart TVs, and web browsers on PC, Mac, and Chromebooks, as well as Android and iOS devices. Separately, Amazon just announced that Prime Video is becoming a Luna launcher and game-discovery interface on Fire TV in the U.S. and UK. A new Games tab will allow Prime members to launch supported Luna titles from the same app they use to watch shows, movies, and sports. Games can be played with either a conventional controller or a smartphone.
Season 2 of Batman: Caped Crusader will introduce new interpretations of Edward Nygma, Carrie Kelley, Roxy Rocket, and the Joker, all the while continuing the series’ early-career Batman storyline. BCC – Chronicles is expected to become playable at the exact moment the show’s second season premieres on July 31.
