Gearbox has used SHiFT codes for years now as a way to distribute free in-game goodies to players. Golden Keys are the most common rewards, which can then be redeemed at Golden Chests in-game for rare loot. However, the developer also uses SHiFT codes to give away exclusive Borderlands 4 skins, giving players the opportunity to jazz up their Vault Hunter with new appearance options.

Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford took to X to deliver a brand-new Borderlands 4 SHiFT code, which rewards three Golden Keys when redeemed on any platform. The code is “BS633-3XR9T-W6TJ5-J33JJ-RWT5T” and can be redeemed in-game or on the SHiFT website with a linked account.

While this SHiFT code is only active until April 14, the Golden Keys stay on gamer’s accounts indefinitely. This is why it’s always worth redeeming them while they’re active. It’s perfect for players who are preparing their next Borderlands 4 build for a future playthrough. They can stack the Golden Keys onto their account, and redeem them further down the line when starting their new character for tons of great loot.
How to Redeem Borderlands 4 SHiFT Codes
- Go to the SHiFT website and log in to your SHiFT account.
- Open the “Gaming Platforms” tab, and make sure that your gaming account is linked to your SHiFT account.
- On the “Rewards” tab, enter the SHiFT code under the “Code Redemption” header.

While it’s cool that Borderlands 4 continues to deliver free rewards to players, it hasn’t been smooth sailing for the game in recent months. Dwindling player counts meant that it was hoping for a revival on the back of its first Story Pack, which also introduced C4SH, the game’s first new Vault Hunter. However, initial response to the DLC was mixed, as many players reported that Borderlands 4‘s first Story Pack didn’t offer great value for money on the back of a $30 asking price. There is still plenty of planned content yet to come, and players will be hoping they get more bang for their buck in future offerings.
