Call of Duty: Warzone players can finally play trial matches for practice, thanks to a new game mode that adds bots to the mix. The new Bootcamp mode in Call of Duty: Warzone lets the player engage in battle against a combination of human players and bots in order to hone their skills before facing competitive matches.

As of now, Warzone newcomers have no fair way to get the hang of the gameplay without partaking in a full-blown competitive online match. However, that seems to be changing now as developers are set to ship Bootcamp mode to Warzone as part of the Season 3 update. The new features will arrive in the game on April 3.

What to Expect From the Call of Duty Franchise in 2024

Call of Duty is bigger than ever before, and though it feels like MW3 has just come out, 2024 is almost here and so is the next phase of CoD.

Call of Duty: Warzone will get a new training mode, called Bootcamp, once Season 3 kicks off on April 3. It is a Quad-only mode that will let CoD players face up to 20 human players and 24 bots. For this mode, the player can either party-up with friends or fill-squad with bots before waging war in a randomized spot in the fictional location of Urzikstan. It’s important to note that progression for player, weapon, and Battle XP will be limited in Bootcamp. Besides that, progress in this mode won’t count towards Calling Card Challenges, Champion’s Quest, Daily Challenges, Weapon Challenges, and Weekly Challenges. This mode won’t feature public events or advanced contracts.

Bootcamp Mode lets Warzone Beginners Learn the Ropes

Bootcamp mode offers players a “snapshot of the real-deal Call of Duty: Warzone experience.” In other words, it is a beginner-friendly mode that gives players ample room to practice, experiment, and improve. Additionally, the announcement states that the new mode is “designed to help new players build confidence” before their first competitive online match in Warzone. The developer has also underlined that Bootcamp is the only mode in Warzone that features bots. Notably, this mode expands on the Training Course mode that shipped to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 in the Season 2 update.

Apart from Bootcamp, there is a lot of other stuff coming to Warzone in the coming days. The highly awaited Season 3 update is also set to bring a returning location called Rebirth Island, new features such as Spy Drones Contract, public events such as Gulag: Climb and Punishment, among a bunch of other things.
