Cyberpunk 2077 is coming to Battle.net later in 2026, with CD Projekt Red officially announcing as much during the second day of BlizzCon. The new release will mark the open-world RPG’s debut on Blizzard’s digital storefront, allowing Cyberpunk 2077 to keep expanding its reach even after six years.
The announcement comes less than three weeks after CDPR revealed a new partnership with Blizzard in late August 2026. That deal is bringing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered and Songs of the Past to Battle.net, while also introducing a Geralt skin for Diablo 4. The cosmetic will be offered as a complimentary bonus to anyone who buys the upcoming Witcher 3 expansion through Battle.net, either before or after release. At the time, Blizzard and CDPR also said the collaboration would extend beyond those plans, having already followed through on that promise mere weeks later.
Cyberpunk 2077 Is Coming to Battle.net in 2026
CDPR officials announced Cyberpunk 2077‘s Battle.net release during a “30 Years of Battle.net” BlizzCon panel on September 13. Blizzard’s digital storefront will mirror Steam, GOG, and other platforms where the game is currently available for purchase, meaning Battle.net users will be able to choose between the Ultimate Edition of Cyberpunk 2077 and the base game. Those who opt for the latter will still be able to purchase the Phantom Liberty expansion at a later date.
Cyberpunk 2077’s Battle.net Price and Release Date Remain Unknown
But the Former Seems Easy Enough to Guess
No pricing information has been announced yet, but Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition costs about 8% less than buying the base game and its sole expansion separately on other storefronts, making it likely that Battle.net will follow the same pricing structure. Another unknown is the release date. While pre-orders for The Witcher 3 remaster and its upcoming expansion opened alongside the August 26 announcement of their Battle.net availability, CDPR officials explicitly ruled out a Cyberpunk 2077 shadow drop at BlizzCon, confirming only that the dystopian RPG will join Blizzard’s store later in 2026.

Battle.net will be the latest in a long line of expansions to Cyberpunk 2077‘s commercial availability since its December 2020 debut on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and the now-defunct Google Stadia. Native PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions followed in 2022, while the Ultimate Edition subsequently reached the Nintendo Switch 2 and Apple-silicon Macs in June and July 2025, respectively. CDPR has also widened the game’s distribution beyond outright purchases, most recently by bringing Cyberpunk 2077 to Xbox Game Pass in March 2026, while Battle.net will soon join Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store among its PC storefronts. All that expansion certainly hasn’t hurt the game’s commercial prospects. CDPR revealed in early September 2026 that Cyberpunk 2077 has surpassed 40 million copies sold, while Phantom Liberty has moved another 15 million units since its 2023 debut.
More Cyberpunk 2077 and Witcher 3 Releases Confirmed for 2027
CDPR and Blizzard used the same BlizzCon 2026 panel to announce several other partnerships. Overwatch was thus confirmed to receive crossover content based on both Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, with Blizzard also confirming that additional Witcher-themed cosmetics will follow the already announced Geralt skin in Diablo 4. Both content drops are planned for 2027. In the meantime, the next official Cyberpunk 2077 release is scheduled for October 20, when the second season of Edgerunners debuts exclusively on Netflix.
