With a six-year gap between the original Death Stranding and its 2025 sequel, it’s not often the fans of the Kojima Productions franchise have something new to look forward to. That’s about to change, after a brand-new Death Stranding release was confirmed for 2027.
The original Death Stranding was the first game from legendary game director Hideo Kojima following his split from Konami. Originally exclusive to the PlayStation 4, the game was a success, but it wasn’t until six years later that its sequel, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, was finally released. Outside the games, work on a Death Stranding movie adaptation also continues. However, this upcoming 2027 release is something completely different.
Death Stranding 2 Higgs Prime 1 Studio Statue Pre-Orders Open at $2,655
Prime 1 Studio has officially confirmed that pre-orders for the Deluxe Bonus version of its new Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Higgs statue are now open via Sideshow. The statue, priced at a whopping $2,655, depicts Death Stranding‘s antagonist in his sequel appearance, with a head sculpt created “through a meticulous study of Troy Baker’s facial features.” It also has several swappable head sculpts, including two featuring the Red Mask. It stands at 1/3 scale, making it 31.8 inches tall – an imposing figure in any gaming display. Higgs stands on a Death Stranding 2-themed display base, which has been given the same detail applied to the statue itself. With a limit of just 299 worldwide, it’s safe to say this is an exclusive piece.

The new Death Stranding release from Prime 1 Studio can be displayed in several ways, with swappable arms, head sculpts, and even Battle Guitars. It features LED illumination in several parts, including the Odradek, the Battle Guitar, and Higgs’ abdomen, as in his in-game appearance. No expense has been spared with this statue, which, at that price, should be expected. Right now, the Death Stranding Higgs statue is expected to release between November 2027 and April 2028 via Sideshow, though it reiterates that this is an estimate, and orders may ship through October 2028.
Orders for the Deluxe Bonus version of the Prime 1 Studio Death Stranding 2 Higgs statue are limited to 1 per person.

If the $2,655 version is a little too expensive, Prime 1 Studio also offers two other versions of the new Death Stranding release with fewer parts. The Standard version is priced at $1,705 and features just the basic statue and its display stand. The next step-up is the Deluxe Edition at $2,005, which adds swappable body parts, including the extra red mask head sculpt for Higgs. That’s not to say any of these statues are cheap, but the Higgs Prime 1 Studio statue doesn’t have to cost $2,655 for anyone who doesn’t need all the extra accessories.
Prime 1 Studio has created some incredible gaming collectibles over the years, though always with a premium price tag. It has plenty of great pieces available for pre-order right now, including an entire God of War line that is sure to make for incredible collector’s items. These statues will definitely be out of reach for many collectors, but for those with the cash available, it’s hard to say they don’t get bang for their buck.
