A brand new release for Attack on Titan has finally penciled in a release date of December 10, 2026, so fans should be sure to mark their calendars. After all, Attack on Titan may have reached the end of its story years ago, but the franchise hasn’t slowed down.
Hajime Isayama’s manga concluded in 2021, while the anime finally wrapped up in 2023 after becoming one of the biggest and most influential manga series of the last decade. Since then, fans have been waiting to see what would come next, especially on the gaming side, where Attack on Titan 2 remained the latest mainline adaptation for nearly eight years.
Attack on Titan 3 Locks In December 10 Release Date
After revealing Attack on Titan 3 earlier this year, publisher Koei Tecmo has now officially confirmed exactly when players can return to the battlefield: December 10 on PC, PS5, Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S, with both physical and digital editions planned for the console release. (PlayStation has signaled it still intends to end disc production despite backlash.) Developed again by Omega Force, Attack on Titan 3 retells the anime’s story from beginning to end, letting players create their own Scout Regiment member while fighting alongside fan-favorite characters like Eren Yeager, Mikasa Ackerman, Armin Arlert, and Levi Ackerman.

Beyond the series’ signature ODM gear combat, Attack on Titan 3 players will also be able to build relationships with characters through conversations, gift-giving, and other social interactions. Koei Tecmo also confirmed multiple editions of the anime action game, including a SteelBook Launch Edition and a Digital Deluxe Edition featuring:

Players who have save data from Attack on Titan 2 or Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle on the same platform will also receive bonus content in Attack on Titan 3, though Koei Tecmo says additional details on those rewards will be announced later. The publisher also reiterated that the game will receive a free post-launch update featuring an original opening animation for Attack on Titan 3 produced by MAPPA and directed by anime action director Arifumi Imai. In other words, December 10 kickstarts gift-giving and isn’t necessarily its final form.
For many fans, Attack on Titan 3 is the game they’ve been waiting on ever since the anime entered its final arc. With the manga complete, the anime finished, and Omega Force adapting the full Attack on Titan story for the first time, December 10 marks the franchise’s biggest video game release in years. And Koei Tecmo is clearly positioning Attack on Titan 3 as the definitive way to experience the series in game form.
