The popular anime/manga series Bleach is set to have a brand-new release in the very near future. Bleach is one of the “Big Three” anime franchises, alongside One Piece and Naruto, and was wildly popular in the 2000s. The adventures of Soul Reaper Ichigo Kurosaki have even proven successful enough to justify a variety of video game adaptations over the years.
There were a number of well-reviewed Bleach games on the Nintendo DS, as well as console games that were not nearly as well-received, like Shattered Dimensions on the Wii and Rebirth of Souls, which released in 2025 on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Bleach characters have also appeared in crossover games, like Jump Super Stars and Jump Ultimate Stars on the Nintendo DS and more recently, Jump Force on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
More Bleach Skins Are Coming to Fortnite
In late 2025, four Bleach characters were added to the popular battle royale game Fortnite, with main character Ichigo Kurosaki joining the roster alongside Rukia Kuchiki, Uryu Ishida, and Orihime Inoue. It’s now been confirmed that more Bleach characters will be joining Fortnite in the very near future, with Kisuke and Yoruichi coming on Friday, August 7 when the item shop refreshes at 8pm ET. Pricing information is unavailable at the time of this writing, but it’s likely that the bundle featuring the new Bleach characters and their accessories will cost in the range of 3,000 – 4,000 V-Bucks.
Now definitely seems like the perfect opportunity to add more Bleach skins to Fortnite. Part 4 of the Bleach sequel series, Thousand-Year Blood War, is currently airing new episodes, and so there’s a great deal of interest in the franchise right now. Thousand-Year Blood War looks to adapt the final story arc from the manga series, so we’re very nearly at the end of an era for fans that have been following Bleach since the 2000s.
Even though the Bleach anime is nearly at an end, the franchise itself should be treated to more new releases in the years ahead. Bleach characters coming to Fortnite is one example, but expect Ichigo and other characters to pop up in future crossover games, as well as potentially their own standalone games. A new console Bleach game hasn’t been announced at the time of this writing, but we do know of one other upcoming release.
A new Bleach mobile game, Mirrors High, is being made by Bandai Namco for mobile devices, and is expected to release this summer, meaning it should be out in a matter of weeks. Instead of adapting an existing story from the manga or anime, Bleach: Mirrors High is set to tell a completely original story. Players will get to take control of their own Soul Reaper and interact with characters designed by series creator Tite Kubo. It being a mobile game may be disappointing for some fans of Bleach, but it’s still a new release, and between that, the new Fortnite skins, and new episodes of the anime, there’s a lot for fans to be excited about right now.
