Cyberpunk 2077 fans might have a new release to look forward to, as an upcoming game has apparently leaked ahead of an announcement from CD Projekt Red. Cyberpunk 2077 has been a big success since its release in 2020, selling more than 40 million copies. Fans have been eager for more ways to explore the game’s world over the last six years, and CD Projekt Red seems to have multiple projects in development.

According to a new leak, CD Projekt Red and WayFoward Technologies teamed up for a game based on the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime series. The game’s existence was leaked through the portfolio of a former WayForward employee, and it was apparently in the research and design phase under the codename “Gemini.” R&D on the game apparently took place in 2025 and 2026, and the game was planned as a 2.5D brawler. It’s currently unclear if the game is moving forward, or if it was canceled prior to an announcement.
