A brand-new leak about Pokemon Winds and Waves surfaces online, revealing the full map for Gen 10 and confirming that Australia is included. Pokemon Winds and Waves are incredibly hyped after their teaser trailer on Pokemon Day this year, but leaks state that the games will most likely not show up until Pokemon Day 2027, meaning February 27. So far, only the three base-form starters have been officially showcased as new Pokemon, but the teaser trailer basically confirmed that Gen 10 will be set in Southeast Asia.
Pokemon Winds and Waves Set in Stone Australia Setting
The new leaks, shared on Twitter by Centro Leaks, show the full map for Pokemon Winds and Waves, which seems to be based on Southeast Asia, and include a corner of the map inspired by real-world Australia. The resemblance is uncanny, with the real-world counterpart comprising the Northern Territory of Australia, where the city of Darwin is, as well as the Kakadu and Garig Gunak Barlu National Parks and the Tiwi Islands. This is a massive reveal, as so far, the games were presumed to take place in Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia for the most part. Instead, a corner of Australia is in the game, which could then be further explored in a DLC or a different game.
