The Wolf Among Us fans can look forward to The Wolf Among Us Remastered, a new enhanced version of the iconic mystery game launching on October 29, 2026. Telltale Games’ The Wolf Among Us series has been around for over a decade, and now this new edition invites players to revisit Fabletown and its mysteries.
Originally released in 2013, The Wolf Among Us is a story-rich game where players’ choices matter. It is based on DC’s Fables comic series and has become one of Telltale Games’ most iconic video games. For years, many The Wolf Among Us fans have waited for new official content, and their wishes came true when Telltale announced The Wolf Among Us 2 at Summer Game Fest in June 2026, this time with more concrete plans for release. Now, players will be able to relive the first game in a new light ahead of the sequel.
The Wolf Among Us Remastered Launches October 29
The Wolf Among Us Remastered is coming on October 29 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. It features all five episodes of the popular interactive thriller with enhanced visuals and graphics like improved lighting, fine-tuned animations, and upgraded environments. As seen in the trailer, every character was rebuilt as a new high-resolution model rather than simply upscaled. A brand-new Noir Mode is included as well, letting players experience the game in a black-and-white fashion. According to the developer, fans can switch between the standard look and Noir Mode at any time with just one toggle.
Additionally, The Wolf Among Us Remastered comes with new behind-the-scenes content such as developer commentary, concept art, interviews, and more. Finally, fans can enjoy playable deleted scenes that were restored from the original game. The Wolf Among Us‘ protagonist, Bigby Wolf, is also getting a redesign of his werewolf form to look even more terrifying.

The new enhanced version has also been announced for Nintendo Switch, but its release was recently delayed with no confirmed date. Hopefully, players won’t have to wait too long for a Switch edition. The Wolf Among Us remains a great immersive game, and a remastered edition for modern consoles can be an ideal opportunity for both veterans and newcomers to experience the world of Fables to the fullest. It will be interesting to see how fans react to The Wolf Among Us Remastered’s bonus content in the coming days.
While a sequel to The Wolf Among Us had long been confirmed by Telltale Games, its development was struck by delays over the years, and the company even experienced layoffs both in 2018 and 2023. Luckily for fans, the developer finally unveiled a trailer for The Wolf Among Us 2 and set a release window for 2027.
