No Man’s Sky has just released a brand-new major update for October 2026. Titled ‘Forsaken’, this latest No Man’s Sky update brings the game to iOS and adds a wealth of new content, much of which ties in nicely with spooky season festivities.
Forsaken is the 42nd named major update that No Man’s Sky has received since its launch all the way back in August 2016. The last decade has brought countless new features to No Man’s Sky, with some of the biggest being fully functional online multiplayer, base-building mechanics, land vehicles, underwater gameplay, story missions, VR support, platform crossplay, and a metric ton of new ship types. Ten years after its debut, No Man’s Sky has more than made up for its lackluster launch, though developer Hello Games is showing no signs of slowing down support just yet.
No Man’s Sky Forsaken Update Available Now
Along with iPad and iPhone support, No Man’s Sky‘s latest update has added multiple new features to the live-service space sim. One of the biggest new features added in this update is the eponymous Forsaken Traders. A series of eerie mementos have suddenly appeared across infested outposts, deep-space hulks, derelict freighters, and at planetary digsites, and their appearance has attracted a new type of merchant that offers a range of “spooky” corvette modules, a living Larva Cannon Multi-Tool, and a Larva Tank helmet cosmetic item.
On top of these brand-new Forsaken Trader fetch quests, No Man’s Sky‘s most recent update has added new content to the game’s Holo-Arena creature battler minigame. Now, players will be able to engage in Holo-Arena battles at deep-space outposts, where they’ll find an array of new challengers to go up against.
A range of long-requested quality-of-life improvements have also been added to No Man’s Sky in its latest update. One such improvement is a Minimal HUD setting, which minimizes usual on-screen elements like the compass, hazard protection bars, mission objectives, and non-essential markers, resulting in a more immersive experience. Seamless Warping has also been introduced, letting players fly straight to a nearby system by simply targeting that system’s star. A new weapon select radial menu has also just been added to No Man’s Sky.
A variety of new ship parts have also made their way to No Man’s Sky as of today’s update. These new customization pieces include the Vantage-Class Cockpit, the Hornet-Class Cockpit, the Viper-Class Cockpit, the Mantis-Class Cockpit, Legion-Class Interiors, and the aforementioned sinister corvette modules, which let players build their own ship out of creepy biomechanical parts. Of course, No Man’s Sky‘s Forsaken update has also brought a ton of bug fixes and technical upgrades to the game, including some memory optimization for both VR and Xbox platforms.
