NTE showcased two new characters joining the playable roster on the game’s social media accounts. Shinku is expected to be the first character making her debut in Version 1.2, appearing as an S-Class Cosmos character from the Bureau of Anomaly Control’s Containment Strike Unit 2. The second character appearing in Version 1.2 will be another character hailing from the same unit in Hethereau’s Anomaly-focused organization, with Iroi releasing as an Anima unit during the second half of the patch. The pair of new characters in NTE‘s Version 1.2 update will already show some similarities with past limited characters. Both Shinku and Iroi will share the same Esper attributes as the characters debuting in Version 1.0, with Nanally appearing as an Anima unit and Hotori as a Cosmos unit. The new characters hailing from the Bureau of Anomaly Control’s CSU-2 also make them teammates with one of NTE‘s starter units, with A-Class character Mint also being part of the same division.
NTE has already welcomed a plethora of exciting new characters to the game’s roster through its initial limited banners. Version 1.0 featured two members of Eibon Antique Shop as its limited characters, with Nanally and Hotori both appearing prominently in the launch update’s main story. Lacrimosa also appeared in her own side story during Version 1.0 before becoming fully playable in Version 1.1, giving players the chance to try out the character early. NTE even gives fans multiple chances to pick up free characters from the Standard banner, with a one-time guaranteed S-Class selector available for pulling from the permanent gacha and an additional free unit as a launch event.
