Nintendo shared another glimpse of what players can expect in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, as the company shared an image of what three of Link’s allies will look like in the upcoming remake. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time launches exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 on Thursday, November 5.

As the most anticipated Nintendo title of the year, Ocarina of Time already stands out from its original N64 incarnation. Along with revamped character appearances that take advantage of the Switch 2’s hardware, Ocarina of Time’s version of Hyrule will be equally more detailed to match. Along with expanded Castle Town that Link can explore, the world map of Hyrule revealed that major changes to the Ice Cavern may be in store once players reach the latter portions of the game.

Nintendo Shares Detailed Preview of Saria, Darunia, and Ruto

Although Nintendo has given players a look at some of Hyrule’s regions, the company also shared how three of Link’s companions will appear in the Ocarina of Time remake. A preview of Saria, Princess Ruto, and Darunia was posted on Nintendo’s official UK social media feeds. To start, Darunia remains the largest of the depicted trio, with the young Princess Ruto to his right and Saria to his left. Compared to past appearances, the remake’s depiction of Darunia will wear a white loincloth along with additional adornments on his arms and legs. Just like how Link will have a highly-detailed Kokiri tunic, Saria will sport similar attire seemingly made of leather and materials gathered around the Kokiri Forest. Despite having some additional detailing, Princess Ruto remains the least changed of the trio when compared to their original incarnations. Each character will also sport more detailed facial expressions and have voiced dialogue in Ocarina of Time‘s main story.

Warning: Possible Spoilers for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake Ahead

Along with being loyal allies to the Hero of Time, Saria, Princess Ruto, and Darunia are also three of the Seven Sages that will aid Link in his quest to defeat Ganondorf. While Darunia and Saria are unlikely to appear different in the second half of the Ocarina of Time remake, Princess Ruto will grow up during the intervening years. Nintendo has not yet shared what Princess Ruto’s older incarnation will look like in Ocarina of Time.

In a previous character preview, Nintendo also shared a short clip of Ganondorf’s appearance in the upcoming title. Keen-eared fans pointed out during the September 8 Zelda Direct broadcast that Ocarina of Time‘s Ganondorf may be voiced by Matt Mercer, who previously portrayed the iconic villain in Tears of the Kingdom and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment. However, neither Nintendo nor Mercer have commented on Ganondorf’s voice in Ocarina of Time as of this writing.

Ocarina of Time will also include new features exclusive to the Switch 2 remake, such as the Trails of Time tapestry that will fill out as players progress through the story. The game will also utilize Zelda Notes within the Nintendo Switch Online mobile app as a way to reward diligent players.
