Grand Theft Auto 6 is just weeks away from launch, and Rockstar Games has been making sure fans have plenty to talk about in the meantime. From new GTA 6 trailers and gameplay details to special merchandise and soundtrack announcements, the developer has kept a steady stream of news throughout the final marketing stretch. With the launch trailer already out, though, there’s still the question of what Rockstar has left to reveal before GTA 6 finally arrives.

Interestingly, Rockstar has established a clear pattern with its GTA 6 marketing campaign, consistently making announcements or revealing something new every Thursday. It began with the Extended Look at GTA 6 on August 27, and the developer has kept it going ever since, revealing its DualSense controllers, album reveal, age rating, radio station preview, and such on Thursdays following the Extended Look. October 22 is a little different because GTA 6 overtook Miami, with those images spreading like wildfire online, but it still fits neatly into the marketing approach.

More GTA 6 News Officially Coming on October 29

Following this pattern, Thursday, October 29 is shaping up to be the next date for more official GTA 6 news. Rockstar hasn’t officially announced anything for October 29, but its consistent marketing schedule suggests fans should keep an eye on Thursday. Here’s everything that has happened so far:

  • August 27: GTA 6 Extended Look
  • September 3: GTA 6 DualSense Reveal
  • September 10: GTA 6 DualSense Pre-Orders
  • September 17: GTA 6 Album Reveal
  • September 24: GTA 6 Collector’s Edition Reveal
  • October 1: GTA 6 Age Rating
  • October 8: GTA 6 Radio Station Preview
  • October 15: GTA 6 Launch Trailer
  • October 22: GTA 6 Marketing Takeover of Miami
  • October 29: ????????????????????

As for what could be revealed next, more details about customization, activities, or other gameplay features in GTA 6 would also make sense. Another trailer isn’t impossible, either, although something smaller seems just as likely (especially with the launch trailer arriving only two weeks earlier). Some speculate that Rockstar was working on a live-action trailer in Miami, which would also be a great way to confirm the GTA 6 actors behind Lucia and Jason. Perhaps more than anything, something more focused on nuts and bolts makes sense because everything has been largely high-level at this point.

One particularly popular prediction among GTA 6 fans is its file size. Based on insider claims suggesting review codes could be distributed soon, some players believe Rockstar could reveal GTA 6‘s file size on October 29. It’s expected to be quite a large game, after all, and this would let fans know how much room they need to clear out ahead of its release date. To be clear, this is entirely speculation. Neither the timing of review codes nor a file-size announcement has been confirmed, and there is currently no verified file size for GTA 6. Still, with pre-loading expected to begin on November 12, it’s a detail Rockstar will presumably have to clarify before launch.

Ultimately, October 29 is another date worth watching, even if Rockstar has yet to confirm anything. After that, only November 5 and November 12 remain before GTA 6 releases, leaving just a handful of opportunities for additional reveals. The countdown to GTA 6‘s release date just keeps getting shorter, especially when viewed through Thursdays. The Thursday pattern has held up for nine straight weeks, and there’s little reason to assume Rockstar is finished talking about one of the biggest games of the year.
