The Palworld Official Card Game is sharing more details about the upcoming 2nd Edition reprints for the game’s initial Dawn of Palpagos set. The reprints come as the first wave of Palworld cards have been heavily targeted by scalpers since the card game’s launch.
The massively popular monster-catching survival game launched the first wave of its trading card game in late July to fans’ excitement. The Palworld Official Card Game‘s launch brought more than 100 unique cards with the Dawn of Palpagos set, alongside two trial decks aimed at helping to teach fans to play the game. However, the game’s launch was quickly beset by scalpers looking to cash in on the game, with boxes being resold on the secondary market for far above their MSRP and some individual cards selling for thousands of dollars. Now, Bushiroad is giving fans a closer look at the upcoming reprints of Dawn of Palpagos.
Palworld Official Card Game Reveals 2nd Edition Reprints
Bushiroad shared more details about the 2nd Edition printing of Dawn of Palpagos on the Palworld Official Card Game‘s social media channels. The second printing of the game’s launch set will be nearly identical to the cards from the game’s first print wave, with the Roman numeral “II” added next to the copyright in the bottom-right corner. The 2nd Edition cards are not expected to have any other major differences from the game’s first wave, though the misspelling of Palworld that appeared in the fine print on 1st Edition boxes will likely be fixed as well. Bushiroad also set a release window for the Palworld Official Card Game reprints, scheduled to launch in late October.
Palworld‘s 2nd Edition cards will be a welcome relief for fans wanting to pick up the card game. Many fans have reported having significant difficulties trying to buy cards, with local game stores supplied with the product selling out quickly after release. Scalpers targeting the Palworld card game similarly caused prices of boxes to skyrocket on marketplaces like eBay, with boxes being sold for $175, nearly triple the MSRP for a booster box. The Palworld Official Card Game is also currently exclusive to local game stores, with big-box retailers like Walmart and Target not carrying the game.
The Palworld Official Card Game‘s supply difficulties at launch were not exclusive to the first set. Bushiroad recently revealed that one of the next products coming to the Palworld card game was delayed, with the Sleeve and Card Set Vol. 1 pushed back two weeks, now releasing on October 16. The set includes the first official Palworld sleeves, featuring a Pal Sphere design, and an exclusive promo card featuring one of several popular Pals, including Cattiva, Depresso, and Chillet.
Bushiroad has already given fans plenty to be excited about for the Palworld Official Card Game. The company revealed the first post-launch expansion coming to the card game shortly after its release, announcing the Legends Awaken set. Legends Awaken will continue to introduce more popular Pals from the main game to the TCG, including Chillet Ignis and Jetragon, alongside a new card of antagonist Saya Kurosaki and her Pal Selyne. New expansions and fresh reprints will look to right the ship for the Palworld Official Card Game and help it become a major success.
