With its 1.0 release just days away, Palworld has officially confirmed that the game will not be increasing its price when the update drops. Palworld took the world by storm when it launched into Early Access back in January 2024, and developer Pocketpair wants to keep the game’s price the same as a way of thanking fans for supporting the game for so long. Palworld launches its 1.0 update on July 10, bringing with it numerous new Pals to catch along with gameplay overhauls.

It’s been a long 2.5 years for Palworld in the march toward its full release. While the game saw massive success when it debuted in Early Access to the tune of 7 million copies sold in just 5 days, and has expanded the experience with popular updates like Sakurajima, Feybreak, and Tides of Terraria, the game also faced controversy when it was hit with a lawsuit from Nintendo. Now that Nintendo’s Palworld lawsuit seems to be falling apart, and its 1.0 launch is just around the corner, Pocketpair’s decision to keep Palworld at its current price is a nice treat for players.

Palworld Confirms No Price Change for 1.0 Launch

  • Palworld 1.0 Release Date: July 10, 2026
  • Price: $29.99

In a post on X, Pocketpair confirmed that Palworld will retain its existing $29.99 price when the game launches into Early Access on July 10. The post notes that after much thought, the developer decided to keep the price the same, rather than increasing it to account for all the new content coming in Palworld 1.0, as a way of saying thank you to the fans who have supported the game so far. In an age where GTA 6 is priced at $80, Palworld is staying true to its indie roots and maintaining affordability, even in its full release.

Before this announcement, there were fears within the Palworld community that a hefty price increase could turn away new players. Palworld thrives as a co-op multiplayer experience, so a lower price point is perfect for bringing friends on board when Palworld‘s 1.0 update releases. With Palworld 1.0 allegedly containing 27 pages’ worth of patch notes, there will likely be a lot for both newcomers and veterans to uncover together when the update drops.

Several new Pals have already been revealed for Palworld 1.0, including Dupin, Solenne, Sekhmet, Hoodle, and many more. Palworld is also overhauling its Wildlife Sanctuaries in 1.0, with each now containing its own unique ecosystem filled with rare Pals and challenging bosses. Additionally, Palworld is set to feature a massive new landmass for players to explore, along with revamped quests and a new main storyline to follow as they explore the Palpagos Islands.

While players don’t have to create a brand-new world when Palworld 1.0 drops, it’s highly recommended that players delete their current world and start a new one for the full release. Players worried about losing the Pals they’ve caught so far can make use of the Global Palbox to transfer Pals between worlds on their account.
