Palworld has dropped a brand-new teaser for the game’s upcoming Version 1.1 patch, revealing the official title and release window for the next big update. Palworld officially launched its Version 1.0 and welcomed the game’s full release in July 2026 after more than two years in early access.
The monster-catching survival game from developer Pocketpair was one of the biggest breakout hits in gaming following its debut. The game drew plenty of comparisons to the Pokemon franchise for its litany of unique creatures that fans can collect, combining monster-catching with survival and base-building elements. Palworld has added a wealth of content since the game’s early access debut, significantly expanding the explorable area and even unveiling the mysterious World Tree with the Version 1.0 patch. Now, Pocketpair is getting fans excited about the next big update coming to the game.
Palworld Reveals Title, Release Window for Version 1.1
Palworld dropped a new teaser for the game’s Version 1.1 update via its official social media. The post formally revealed the title of Version 1.1, dubbed Side by Side, with a teaser image showing silhouettes of several in-game bosses, including Zoey and Saya. The announcement from Pocketpair did not give any specific details about what content will be included in the Side by Side update, though the visual suggested that players will be able to team up with Palworld‘s Tower Bosses. Pocketpair also teased the release date for Side by Side within the post, confirming that the update will be arriving sometime this winter.

Palworld‘s next big update is expected to bring a plethora of new content to the game to follow up on Version 1.0. Pocketpair will likely introduce a multitude of new Pals for players to catch within the game, possibly adding new areas to the map as well. The update could include a new faction of enemies for players to battle, with the post suggesting that players will need to “make some new friends” to survive on Palpagos. Pocketpair teased that more information about the Version 1.1 update will be revealed soon, though it did not provide a timeline.
While information was light about Palworld‘s next update, Pocketpair has left fans with plenty of teasers. The studio previously confirmed that Palworld‘s Version 1.1 will include a major new feature that has been a common request from fans, though Pocketpair representative Bucky was intentionally vague when discussing the new content. Internal development has been underway at Pocketpair since at least mid-August at Pocketpair, when the official Palworld Twitter account shared a photo revealing that a brainstorming session was taking place for Version 1.1.
Palworld has given fans plenty to be excited about from the franchise beyond the core game. Bushiroad and Pocketpair officially launched the Palworld Official Card Game in late July 2026, debuting the Dawn of Palpagos set alongside two Trial Decks, with the Legends Awaken expansion scheduled to officially launch on October 30. Pocketpair also revealed a brand-new spin-off for the game in August, confirming the development of Palworld Online in collaboration with Singapore-based publisher Garena. Pocketpair has successfully transformed Palworld from a wildly successful monster-catching game into a full-blown, flourishing franchise.
