Elden Ring: Path of the Elden Lord has officially arrived, bringing players back to the Lands Between for a new quest. Players don’t have to wait to play Elden Ring: Path of the Elden Lord, as FromSoftware has made it available now.
Elden Ring was originally released in 2022 to huge critical and commercial success. The game was a collaboration between Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R.R. Martin, taking the typical FromSoftware Soulslike formula and translating it into an open world. FromSoftware followed up this success with Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, which has since been hailed as one of the best video game expansions of all time. A three-player follow-up named Elden Ring Nightreign received a slightly colder reception in 2025, proving the series isn’t quite infallible.
Elden Ring: Path of the Elden Lord Quest Gives Players Four New Objectives
To mark the release of Elden Ring‘s release on the Nintendo Switch 2 a few months ago, Bandai Namco announced a new set of community quests available to complete in-game, including Path of the Elden Lord, which is live right now. This is a community quest with four objectives, where players work together across all platforms to complete each milestone. Elden Ring: Path of the Elden Lord began on November 2 and runs until November 28.
Elden Ring: Path of the Elden Lord Quest Objectives
- Summon Warrior Jar Alexander 50,000 times
- Obtain 3,000,000 Rune Arcs
- Obtain 500,000 Legendary Armaments
- Upgrade 100,000 Standard Spirit Ashes to +8

Elden Ring: Path of the Elden Lord is the third of four community quests to round out 2026. Though it might not be quite the same as a new Elden Ring quest or something more expansive, it’s still a great excuse to jump back into the game, especially for players who may have long dropped it in favor of something else.
- Path of the Tarnished: September 1-28
- Path of the Cardinal Sin: October 1-28
- Path of the Elden Lord: November 2-28
- Path of Shadows: December 1-28
If the community is able to complete all four Elden Ring: Path of the Elden Lord objectives, it will unlock a new commemorative artwork by artist vladinsk, as well as a Warrior Jar Alexander Twitch Chat Badge. This is in line with all the other Elden Ring community quest rewards – the first two, Path of the Tarnished and Path of the Cardinal Sin, were both met by the community.
Earlier this year, FromSoftware confirmed its intention to deliver more Elden Ring updates in the future, although it did not confirm how big they will be. Small updates are far more likely than extensive content drops at this point. Still, it’s good to see the popular game continue to receive support long after its initial release.
