Persona 4 Revival has confirmed a release date of February 18, 2027, as revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase 2026. A new trailer for Persona 4 Revival was shown during the showcase, giving players a fresh look at the Investigation Team and the shadows they will have to fight within the TV world while investigating the mysterious Midnight Channel. Along with this release date is the confirmation that P4R will be a day-one release on Xbox Game Pass.
First announced with a teaser trailer a year ago at the Xbox Games Showcase in June 2025, Persona 4 Revival follows Atlus’ recent trend of remaking some of the older Persona games for modern hardware. Persona 3 Reload kicked off this trend in 2023, and now Persona 4 is set to follow in its footsteps with an upgraded visual style and overhauled mechanics. Persona fans won’t have to wait much longer to get their hands on this remake, with Persona 4 Revival launching early next year.

The trailer for Persona 4 Revival that was shown during the Xbox Games Showcase 2026 featured everything that fans of Sega and Atlus’s popular JRPG franchise would want to see from this remake. Along with updated visuals, Persona 4 Revival also showcased the game’s new voice cast and new gameplay mechanics. Persona 4 Revival is available for pre-order now, ahead of its February 18, 2027, release date.

Persona 4 Revival follows the story of the small Japanese town of Inaba, caught in the grip of a string of murders that a group of high school students believe are connected to the strange phenomenon known as the Midnight Channel. Together, they form the Investigation Team and enter the TV world, where they must wield Personas to fight back against the hostile shadows lurking within. The TV world holds the key to solving the Midnight Channel murders, and Persona 4 Revival players will have to reach out to the truth, regardless of how ugly it may be, to put a stop to these crimes.
Along with the returning features of Persona 4, such as turn-based combat, dungeon-crawling gameplay, and social simulation mechanics like Social Links, Persona 4 Revival also includes modernized features from recent entries like Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Royal. Baton Pass is a core mechanic of these recent Persona games that makes its return in Persona 4 Revival, allowing players to pass their turn to an ally when scoring a One More hit on an enemy. The Theurgy feature from Persona 3 Reload, which allows players to use an ultimate attack when their meter is full, is also back in Persona 4 Revival, now called the Series Finale feature.

Fans of Persona 4 Golden will also be happy to know that certain features from this enhanced edition of the original Persona 4 seem to be included in Persona 4 Revival. The Persona 4 Golden-exclusive character Marie is shown talking to the protagonist in the Velvet Room in this latest Persona 4 Revival trailer, suggesting that her unique dungeon, the Hollow Forest, will be included in P4R. More information on all the features Persona 4 Revival has to offer will likely be shared at some point in the future, leading up to the game’s release.
