Persona 4 Revival may be targeting an early 2027 release, according to a new leak suggesting that its still-unannounced Funko Pop lineup is due to launch around the same time. The claim aligns with Sega’s earlier guidance on Persona 4 Revival‘s approximate release window.
Following more than a year’s worth of rumors, the Persona 4 remake was formally announced during the early June 2025 Xbox Games Showcase. The brief reveal trailer offered a look at in-engine footage of Inaba and showed protagonist Yu running through several recognizable locations. It ended with a list of target platforms that confirmed the game is planned to launch as a day-one Xbox Game Pass title. Since then, publisher Sega and developer Atlus have said little else about the project.
Persona 4 Revival Wish List
While it remains to be seen what Atlus does, Persona 4 Revival needs some essential gameplay tweaks and story updates to modernize the classic JRPG.
Persona 4 Revival Funko Pops Reportedly Coming in Early 2027
While Persona 4 Revival still lacks concrete availability details, a new claim from established Funko Pop leaker The Scarlet Joker may have offered a clearer indication of its launch window. In an April 2 social media post, the insider said a wave of Persona 4 Revival Funko Pops is planned for early 2027. The stated timeline suggests the remake itself could arrive around the same time.
An early 2027 debut would broadly align with Sega’s previously outlined development roadmap for the project. In its consolidated financial report published in June 2025, the Japanese gaming giant included Persona 4 Revival in its fiscal 2027 lineup. That reporting period began this month and is scheduled to run through March 31, 2027. Still, game development timelines are prone to shifting, meaning the project could yet slip into a later part of 2027. Even so, if The Scarlet Joker’s latest claim is accurate, Persona 4 Revival appears to remain on course for a launch by the end of the first quarter of next year.
Leaked Persona 4 Revival Funko Pops
- Protagonist
- Yosuke Hanamura
- Chie Satonaka
- Teddie
In addition to outlining a tentative launch window for the rumored Persona 4 Revival Funko Pops, The Scarlet Joker listed several products said to be included in the wave: the protagonist, Yosuke Hanamura, Chie Satonaka, and Teddie. The reported lineup includes only half of the main Persona 4 cast, with Yukiko Amagi, Kanji Tatsumi, Rise Kujikawa, and Naoto Shirogane absent from the list. The leaker did not indicate whether the lineup was complete, leaving open the possibility of a second wave.
Persona 4 Revival May Be Coming Along Nicely, But Persona 6 Is Still Nowhere To Be Seen
While multiple signs now point to Persona 4 Revival arriving by early 2027, Atlus has yet to formally reveal the franchise’s long-awaited sixth mainline entry. Hiring signals previously suggested Persona 6 had entered at least an early development phase by 2021, and insider NateTheHate said in late 2025 that Persona 6 was not in development hell. On the same occasion, the leaker also claimed Persona 4 Revival was being developed largely by Japanese ghost developer Tose Software under Atlus supervision, suggesting the remake may not be diverting significant internal resources from Persona 6.
At the end of 2025, Persona producer Kazuhisa Wada said multiple franchise announcements were planned for 2026. One of them could be the release date for Persona 4 Revival. Atlus took a similar approach with Persona 3 Reload, which launched on February 2, 2024, after receiving a confirmed release date in late August 2023. If Persona 4 Revival is also targeting a first-quarter launch, Atlus may follow a comparable timeline. A natural venue for such an announcement would be the series’ 30th anniversary celebrations in late September 2026. The Scarlet Joker previously also claimed that anniversary-themed Persona Funko Pops are planned as part of those celebrations, based on the protagonists from Persona 3–5, plus Igor and Wonder (from P5: The Phantom X).
