Ahead of Summer Game Fest 2026, PlayStation is hosting its next State of Play to showcase what its first-party studios and select third-party developers have cooking up in 2026 and beyond for the PlayStation 5. The 60-minute event should be filled to the brim with announcements of new games and updated looks at previously revealed titles–don’t know about y’all but I have my finger’s crossed for more info on Insomniac’s Marvel’s Wolverine and Ember Lab’s Kena: Scars of Kosmora.

Marvel’s Wolverine
The showcase kicked off with a new look at Marvel’s Wolverine, the upcoming superhero action game from Insomniac. The new gameplay trailer detailed how the studio has evolved the combo- and counter-focused combat of its Marvel’s Spider-Man series to be a lot faster and less “punchy,” making for a gaming experience that looks a whole lot more violent than Peter Parker and Miles Morales’ adventures. It’s a fitting shift for the titular mutant.
