Pokemon Champions is giving away a free gift for players to claim to celebrate the game hitting over 10 million downloads, but there’s a deadline attached. Pokemon Champions came out at the start of April 2026, and it was met with lukewarm reviews due to the severely shrunk Pokedex and item pool compared to the main VGC hub of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The game has since replaced Pokemon Scarlet and Violet as a competitive-focused game, and it has already hosted multiple tournaments, including Regionals and NAIC 2026.

Pokemon fans intending to dive into the competitive gameplay of Pokemon Champions may want to wait before transferring Pokemon due to a major glitch.
Pokemon Champions is Giving Away Free Items, But There’s a Catch
To celebrate the game’s milestone of over 10 million downloads across Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and mobile, all players are getting 100 Quick Coupons in their in-game mailboxes. Pokemon Champions‘ release on mobile has been helping VGC’s accessibility even further, and over 10 million downloads is a testament to that. As much as these Quick Coupon are great for recruiting new Pokemon for free, the reward will expire on September 30, 2026, if left unclaimed, and players have to log into the game to get the items in their mailbox. In order to claim the reward, players have to do the following:
- Launch Pokemon Champions on Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, or mobile
- Access the menu at the bottom of the screen and click on Mailbox
- Claim the 100 Quick Coupons
