A Pokemon player created their take on a new form of Mewtwo to celebrate the second Pokemon Legends. Fans of Game Freak’s RPG franchise have been imagining their own unique takes on alternate versions of various pocket monsters in the series for quite some time. Many of these Pokemon forms are well-thought-out enough to pass for something that could be found in the games.

The Pokemon Mewtwo was one of the first legendaries to make an appearance in the series. The creature is a clone of the pocket monster Mew and can be encountered in Pokemon Red and Blue after defeating the Elite Four. Mewtwo starred in the first movie of the franchise, which saw the creature act as the main villain.

An artist from the Pokemon community designs awesome new mega forms for Klefki and Gliscor in anticipation of the upcoming Pokemon Legends: Z-A.

A Reddit user named BentoDraws shared a post featuring a new version of the legendary Pokemon Mewtwo that they made. This alternate version of the pocket monster is meant to be the form it takes in Kalos, the region where Pokemon Legends: Z-A is supposed to take place. The critter looks very reminiscent of Mew, though with a gray-colored body rather than a pink one. Like Mew, this version of Mewtwo has a very long tail, though it now originates from the back of its neck similar to what is seen on Mega Mewtwo Y. BentoDraws also changed the Pokemon’s Typing, making the Kalos form a Dark/Psychic-Type. The artist’s creation does beg the question of what would happen if Mew had been cloned more than once.

What Would Happen If Mew Was Cloned More Than Once?

Pokemon fans are enjoying BentoDraws’ artwork, which has acquired over 1,800 upvotes. One gamer mentioned that the piece reminded them of the schoolyard rumors that they used to hear about how to unlock hidden versions of various pocket monsters. Another said that they strongly believe that the Pokemon Mew was cloned more than once and that there are multiple versions of Mewtwo that exist in the Pokemon world. The art that BentoDraws created is a good example of the various Pokemon forms that could show up in Pokemon Legends: Z-A.

BentoDraws is not the only artist creating new versions of pocket monsters for Pokemon Legends: Z-A. A number of artists have designed their own forms for Pokemon in anticipation of the upcoming title, upgrading creatures such as Charizard and Dragonite. The artwork helps show that the RPG series’ fan base has a lot of ideas that it would like to see in the games and that it contains incredible artists with deep imaginations. Gamers will just have to wait and see what else the community comes up with as they continue to expand upon the franchise that they love.
